The new away strip to be worn by Chelsea next season has been officially unveiled.

Released on June 4, the new adidas kit is yellow with a blue trim, and, for the first time on an away shirt since the 1998-2000 white Umbro away kit, the shirt also features a collar.

Made with adidas' trademark climacool technology and featuring the trademark three stripes down the shoulder and upper arm, the new kit comes with yellow shirts and socks, again both featuring a royal blue trim.

An official Chelsea statement said:

Chelsea Football Club and adidas have today revealed the new away kit for the 2014/15 season, inspired by famous yellow kits from the club's past.

Chelsea fans of all ages will have great memories of Chelsea in a yellow away strip, from its first outings with the likes of Peter Osgood in the 1960s and 1970s, through unforgettable moments with Clive Walker in the 1980s and Gianfranco Zola in the 1990s, up to Frank Lampard's memorable winner in the FA Cup final of 2009.
