California Chrome fails to make triple crown history in America.

Tonalsit won the Belmont Stakes so everyone is sad.

The race video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SflE7wkKjEo

America's favourite California Chrome finished 1 1/2 lengths behind the winner Tonalist.
His jockey Victor Espinoza made a fine effort. Tracked leaders in 3d-4th place and produced him at the bend in a good position for the final run in - but the finishing power was n't there.

The pessimists who were saying California Chrome is no stayer and not good enough for the distance of 2400 meters in the curvy Belmont track proved right.
So Belmont dashes the hopes of yet another triple crown candidate, after War Emblem, Funny Cide and others.

* The video shows he takes the last turn from four horses wide.
He was displaced a little - would have like it closer to the inner.

But it's certain he did not have the strong finish required.

Dubai world cup today, 27/3, with our old friend California Chrome from his last year's triple crown endeavours being the hot favourite in the world cup race.

The press synthesis for the Dubai races:

http://www.cosmicway.net/pressynthesis.html

It is a compendium of the French internet predictions. The Dubai races are the "R5" races and there are some from Turffontein - South Africa also, as the page displays the entire Greek-PMU program of the day.
