Bacary Sagna

The 31-year-old France international will be remaining in the Premier League after rejecting Inter's attempts to lure him to the San Siro.

It now remains to be seen whether Sagna will remain in England, and if does, whether that will be with Arsenal after Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City were linked with offers.

Wtf!!! First zanetti and now this goober. We have azpi and iva. Dont need a RB. Shaw and that's it

To be fair signing Sagna is more realistic than Zanetti. :)

If we let Bertrand and Cole go we'll need at least one full-back. If it's okay to Sagna to sit on the bench than why not? He wouldn't cost a penny and he is very experienced.

But it would not make much difference. Cole is definitwly gone and bertrand after today's comments seems to be on hia qay out as he would in no way be our firat choice.

But buying sagna would mean 3 right backs and no real left back. Add to that his wages to sit on the bench and simply no future since he is already 31, he does not seem to fit the direction our team/squad is going.?

Azpi is doing more than fine as a left back, I'm pretty sure he will play there next season because our defence is very strong so why would Mourinho make major changes? Azpi on the left, Iva on the right, we need backups and Sagna would do it.

A. What "mediator" said.

B. Iva and sagna are almost the same age and would have to be replaced in a year or 2, maybe together or one by one. Shaw is high in demand. If he goes to city/united then we lose a long term quality left back cos of a year or2 of sagna. Simply not worth it. Infact our future defense should be azpi-GC-zouma-sShaw and next season should be a stepping stone towards that back 4.

So we would let a Homegrown young talent go (Bertrand) to take an aged non-homegrown one to be a backup, no way

Yes, but it would be an Arsenal starter that didn't extend his to contract and came here to warm the bench. Would be hilarious.

I really like Bertrand and I want him to stay but according to the recent news he is leaving us.
