Chelsea v Arsenal

Arsenal fans here (in slovakia) are all super confident and only thinking about how they will break our home PL record...

Am I missing something or people here are just retarded? I think it will be super hard for them to even get one point, SB is fortress yet again!

it's just gooners thinking their time will come. You have to remember, for a long time the gooners owned CFC. Literally we were their bitches. That changed when Mr. Abramovich bought the club & for the last decade le arse have been 2nd best in London.

hope the players are not as distracted as the fans for the game.

This is a Big Match for both Clubs. Also Jose will have the side focused. I am sure he doesn't want to lose to The Specialist of Failure. Imagine the post match press conference of le voyeur. He will praising his side of mental toughness & calling Jose a fake. Then we will have piers w/ his tirade about Hazard being over-rated when we all know the truth of the matter that Wilshire is the one that is over-rated carloeyebrow_zpsdb550376.png

There is no way we will lose this match. I am confident we can pull off a convincing victory, with all our important players (esp, Eto'o, Hazard, Lampard, Azpi, -- in form. 3 points would reignite our title challenge, anything else would bury it, its the same with Arse, so a very intriguing fixture.

With Ramires and Willian - who were not exactly convincing lately - out, the line-up picks itself:

-----------Cech-----

Iva--Cahill---JT---Azpi

-----Lamps--Matic--

Schürrle-Oscar-Hazard

---------Eto'o-----------

I love this lineup, cos it is a mixture of class talent (Eden, Schü, Azpi, oscar),experienced mega stars (Cech, JT, Eto'o, Lamps) and people in the best age for a footballer (Matic, Cahill, Iva), whilst of Arsenal players, there might be some quality but simply not the kind of permanent and potential class, we got. Honestly, in a big game, I would never ever trade one of our veterans against a younger player ala Podolski, Giroud, Kosccielny who never were and never will be the same class.

I'm not the one that gets too excited before a big game, but man I feel so positive before this one. I can't see Arsenal winning at Stamford Bridge and the only thing Chelsea needs to do is find a way to unlock that Mertesacker - Koscielny partnership. Other than that they are pretty much average - Giroud is shit and we can't be afraid of a Arteta - Flamini midfield pair.

No disrespect to any football fan, but looking at how things stand, Chelsea is favourite to win this one and any other result than a Chelsea win is a big surprise. Home game, better coach, better players, almost a fully fit squad, bar Willian (thank God that Ramires is suspended for this one!), rock solid defence, Jose's record(s), Arsenal's missings etc. Everything points to a Chelsea win and a clean sheet for Cech should come with it.

-------------- Eto'o --------------

- Hazard -- Lamps -- Oscar -

-------- Matic ----- Luiz --------

- Azpi - JT - Cahill - Ivanovic -

-------------- Cech --------------

Massive game for Mourinho and Chelsea. After all the talk about Arsenal being failure specialist, a defat will leave Mourinho as the ridiculous character, and no doubt it will mean the League is over for us. and that will end up in 3rd or 4th position (and lets be honest, only a UCL glory will save this season from being a failure, if such thing happens, and that will leave Mourinho as the mediocre one).

A draw is a bad result as well, at the end of the month we will be behind Liverpool. To make things short: the game of the season.

This is the game of the season for us. Fail to win (even a draw would be a bad result IMO, in the context of the title race) and I think that would relegate us to third-favourites behind City and 'Pool for the title. We quite basically have to win. City are 6 behind with three games in hand - there's a good chance United will take points off them in the Manchester derby, though, plus they have to go to a few difficult away matches. Yes, we'll only have Liverpool left after this, but my point is if City still have 3 games in hand on us and we fail to maintain the six-point gap, it could be looking like 3 matches to make up a 3/4 point cushion. That leaves them room for mistakes, and will seriously ease the pressure off. We can't afford for that to happen. The way we have to think about the title is that we're actually in second place, playing catch-up. I know that sounds insane, but think about it, in a real world the least amount of points City will get from Sunderland [h], Villa [h] and United [a] is very probably 7 points. Worst-case scenario is 6, but equally there's a great chance a team as good as them will pick up all 9. So we need to maintain the pressure - if we make all their games must-wins, there is a chance they may crumble under the pressure.
