To be fair, he showed some glimpses last season (even if utterly inconsistent even inside the same match!), but it turned out that that was his peak! Back to his usual at best average self this season.

Matic is a good player but his biggest weakness is his lack of mobility. Maybe that would be fine if he could compensate by his reading of the game but he cant do that either. ramires proved to be better because he has the legs to intercept their passes.

Honestly, id rather have Schneiderlin than Matic anytime of the week.

What is he supposed to do?He can´t win every tackle because Fabregas and Oscar refuse to try winning tackles.

He is not a superhuman that can win every header,every tackles and stop every counter attack by himself.He needs a Ramires in form,or a RLC or a Essien in his prim next to him in order to cope with those physically strong teams.He can´t do it by himself.
He needs a physical strong partner next to him because ,otherwise we will always be outmuscled by the opponent.We can´t play Tiki Taka because our offensive players can´t play that type of football.Yes,Hazard can,Cesc can play it too,but apart of those two(ok,Costa would still score his goals no matter which style we play) ,we will not be able to play that kind of style Barcelona is playing with this kind of players.

It seems there are some people our ideal mid is Matic-Fabregas-Ramires.

It must be one of the poorest mids in top of the league. The talk Matic needing Ramires to upgrade his game doesn't make any sense. If a player need the support of Ramires to do great, then he is not great at all.
