It is only because of our position in the league why he won't be a contender for PFA player of the season or probably in the team of the season. Really he should be in team of season imo. He has been fantastic all season.

Don't think he's produced POTY form tbh. And Mahrez has outperformed him for that right wing spot so he won't make the team.

Yeah, agreed. He prob would make subs bench. As of now, might just miss out on the team. Still some way to go and hopefully he keeps on impressing.

That's a good point. I reckon Ozil, the lads at Spurs and, especially, those at Leicester will fill most of the places on the short lists. That said many pundits, including those still playing, have noticed Willian's form, not least because he has stuck out like a sore thumb in our season of woe. He might therefore get a mention or two along the way.

You can be arrogant, self-absorbed and pretentious and give blood, donate to charities and save kittens from trees.

Not saying that he is but I've never understood the 'he's a philanthropist so he's not arrogant' argument (iIt might even be a way to create good will but that's not relevant in this case). One does not cancel out the other.

Willian never ceases to fill me with joy weak in weak out. His drive, his determination, his power, his skill, it's all brilliant. He is not just a consistent 7/10 player anymore, he is world class and he showed it against PSG.
