sraeli starlet Gai Assulin is ready to shun English interest to remain at Barcelona.

The 16-year-old midfielder made history on Wednesday evening when he became his country's youngest ever international when he came on for Yossi Benayoun during their 1-0 win over Chile.

Assulin is one of the leading lights at La Masia - Barca's youth academy - and is currently featuring for their B side.

Barcelona are determined to hand him an extended contract and a three-year deal is waiting for him but once again the Catalunyan giants are being forced to fend off interest from the Premier League in one of their prized youngsters.

Chelsea and Manchester City are both understood to have made enquiries with his agent Pini Zahavi in recent weeks, and he admits they are amongst the interested clubs - but he also insists Assulin is more than happy at Barca.

"Those teams are interesting and we will never say no," Zahavi is quoted in the Daily Star.

"But Gai feels good in Barcelona."

Previously both Arsenal and Tottenham were said to have made offers for the young talent.

Alright so there's a lot of rumours going round about this kid, he's being dubbed the "new Lionel Messi" (like every other young player who can dribble a ball :whistling:). Anyway he's 19 and was with Barcelona until.. On July 1st, he and Barcelona cancelled their contract making him a free agent. Amongst Chelsea, Arsenal and ManCity are reported to be interested with City and Chelsea on the "verge" of signing him.

Mirror Football reported last night that Manchester City were "close to signing" him. The Metro links us, City and Arsenal to him. A Different League says we're close to signing him because (I knew one outlet would mention this) Yossi Benayoun (him compatriot) has convinced him to sign for us.

Anyway, here's a little clip of him..

probably to many similar players to him like messi, iniesta, pedro, jeffren ect

no way, he has left because after his meniscus injury he wasn't able to play like he did before, glad we didn't sign him. Dos Santos where dubbed the new Ronaldinho only to get an arrogant and ignorant partying little cunt, finally you could say he's finding his feet with spuds... such a shame, what a player he could've been, but hes still young...

i think sometimes the charackter of some young players can't cope with the hype, hope Josh doesnt the same things...

OT: hope we'll see something of connor Clifford, who is a Chelseafan btw ;-)

greets...

Would rather see Clifford come through tbh.

He is a brilliant brilliant player, i really hope he comes through because i think he is dynamite. Clifford oozes ability and he is so similar to lampard in terms of space awareness !
