Chelsea scouts were treated to a forward master class from striker target Waris Majeed, according to reports from Swedish newspaper Expressen

The Blues were also joined by members of the PSV Eindhoven, FC Porto and Napoli scouting networks in the stands, according to ElfVoetbal in Holland and Calciomercato in Italy, with a number of clubs starting to show a keen interest in the 21-year-old.

Majeed, who earned his solitary cap for Ghana in February 2012, moved to the Sweedish Allsvenskan two years ago, and has instantly impressed for Peter Gerhardsson’s side.

And, with various scouts in the stands, the youngster picked the perfect time to score three times for Hacken in an emphatic 5-1 win over Syrianska.

Chelsea scouts are sure to have been impressed by the striker’s return, but a move for the player would still be seen as a huge gamble by Roberto Di Matteo if he were to pursue the African.

The Blues are light up-front following Didier Drogba’s departure in the summer, with Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge the only senior players currently on the books after Romelu Lukaku’s loan move away from Daniel Sturridge.

Radamel Falcao has been more prominently linked with a move to west London, and realistically the Colombian would be a much more popular choice at Chelsea.

From what i have seen from the videos the guy would be perfect for us. He is a good finisher,he has great pace and he is a good poacher too. I think he would be a great striker for us. If you judge him from this video :

If Chelsea buy players like this it's to stash them and loan them and hope they develop. UEFA ranks the Swedish league 24th in Europe. This is not someone who has done well in France or even Belgium or Ukraine. Some great players do come from lower leagues obviously, but you have to prove yourself at some point. The chances that Chelsea buy him to play him now are virtually zero.

Exactly. No point stockpiling talent. Who knows, this kid might be something special..but Ghana aren't exactly known for creating top-class strikers (apart from A. Gyan of recent times).

I'd like to see the kid prove himself in a stronger league..

looks a bit like Sturridge in the way he plays just perhaps a bit stronger as you can see when he holds that defender up in the video. Why not take a punt, I doubt our scouts would be looking at him if he wasn't decent....
