Oscar

whether he was ill or not, there was no way he would have played today (in a good level at least) after only 2 days since the last match. He doesn't have the physical endurance for that.

Still he was deeply missed. I think if he had started we would have won... we've missed the way he presses and recovers the ball and as only Cesc and Hazard looked somewhat good today, his link up with both (which has been improving even more with time) maybe would have given us more control of the game.

Hopefully he starts against Spurs, but I don't think that's the kind of match Mourinho won't have Mikel in the starting XI. And if Mikel plays, Oscar doesn't, but he was missed today.

Really passive today. Like he doesn't want to be out there.

Or perhaps he couldn't do the things he normally does. Unfortunately we don't have access to fitness level information, obviously. Don't think Ramires was any better as he spent most of the second half on the ground.

Ramires was certainly better because he actually made things happen in the final third. Oscar was completely anonymous.

Disagree on that one as our first goal came off an Oscar shot, misplaced yes, but he was in the right spot. Was passing well as well, but certainly wasn't doing the hard working part he is known for.

For me the second half performance was worse than the first.

We keep on subbing him on every match he may become delusioned as at 23 he needs games to develop.unless he wasn't 100% which is quite possible.

Really? We created FAR more in the 2nd than we did in the first. Not even debatable. That first half performance apart from a mini spell was awful.

Ramires certainly did better than Oscar because he influenced the game far more than Oscar IMO. Offensively we were much better in the 2nd half.

This game was never about creating chances. Would have been quite happy with a 1x1. Heh difficult to judge was we were chasing the game and the whole team was going for it. The defense was even more leaky in the second half though. No I did not like Ramires performance as he looked weak (physically).

Didnt think Oscar played bad, but he didnt press well imo. Diego Costa was pressing like a mad dog, but the other 3 not so much.

Chelsea scored all 3 goals from spurs' lapse of concentration.

1st goal. Rose though hazard went out of bounce and was complaining.

2nd goal. fazio lost the ball from an error

3rd goal. vertoghen was complaining and chelsea starting the set peice fast since they were out of position.

I agree that Ramires doesn't look at his peak physique but that's because he's been out and because he hasn't been much playing at all over the last month or so. Oscar on the other hand has played enough and just didn't look interested at all today. Just wasn't good enough from Oscar. Didn't look up for it. Ramires, who's clearly nowhere near as match fit as Oscar, still put himself about more than Oscar.

On your previous post where you mentioned that Oscar might be becoming disillusioned with being subbed off all the time... Seriously? He has played enough times. The fact that today was his 100th appearance for Chelsea already should tell you that that would be a pathetic excuse.
