He reminds me of Carlton Cole. I hear he has a lot of potential which Cole had but he seems like the same sort of person/player which we will probably not see the best from unless he joins an average team where he might look good

Just roumers at the moment. But i would be more than happy to see us sign him. Good young player with an eye for goal. A big talent for the future and with the added bonus of being English.

Everything is a roumer until confirmed by Chelsea.

We have been told we have signed both Zhirkov and Sturridge now, neither of which has been confirmed. I would think that Sturridge would be very likely. We have been after him for a long while now, and picking up top English prospects is very important at the moment. We will have to wait and see, if it is done then Chelsea will confirm it soon enough.

Lol sturridge is a pure finisher with great balance. Carlton cole is a 1 in 4 finisher carlton cole never had a good touch, sturridge has vision too.

Yes the idea of adding Sturridge and Pato to our attack is pretty exciting. Both i believe are able to play on the wing as well as the centre forward position.

Yes that is so true esk. Sturridge is 6'2 and pato is 5'10 sturridge has a left foot finish pato has a right foot finish. Both have brilliant pace both want to score goals both can play in wide positions sturridge on the left pato on the right. Why would we really want to play 2 young goal scorers in wide postions though.

Same reason we play Anelka out there, same reason why Barcelona play Henry or Eto'o out on the wings. It just adds to our potency, the wide players have the freedom to cut inside and the 3 to interchange.

It all depends on who else we sign and who goes. I would say that Pato would play certainly more games than Sturridge, but both would get plenty of games and playing time next season i am sure.

It's possible, but Di Santo is suited to the lead striker role, where Anelka, Pato and Sturridge are less suited, so i would think there is still a place for Franco, it is down to Ancelotti though to give him the playing time.

Mark Hughes has conceded that he is powerless to prevent striker Daniel Sturridge from leaving Manchester City.The 19-year-old forward has been linked with a move to Chelsea and could quit Eastlands this summer after failing to agree a new deal with the club."We are not in a position to dictate that [sturridge's future] really," Hughes told Sky Sports. "We have offered Daniel a deal that we think is at the level he should be at.

"He is in a strong position because he is in the last year of his contract.

"He is keeping his options open, which he has done for quite some time, we just have to wait and see.

Chelsea TV said last night that we are in talks with Sturridge so this one looks like it IS going to happen after all. Would be a very nice first signing of the summer i think.
