To me he's a winger, who wants to be a striker so badly, like Walcott. But on the few occasions both have been played there, they haven't exactly ripped shit up.

It will be interesting to see how he does at Liverpool - i'm sure he will score some goals, but definitely not anywhere near enough from a "great" "world class" player.

What was Drogba, Ian Wright, and Klose doing at 19? What Lukaku is doing is great for his age, but Sturridge at this time last season was actually starting week in week out, at a better team, with more goals, while Lukaku was in the reserves. This season he's been injured - how could you compare?

I'd buy this if he had managed to do it over the course of a whole season. Great players don't show up for only 6 months - well unless you're David Silva lol.

He only played 12? games at Bolton and at Chelsea he faded from January to May, only scoring i believe 1 goal during that period.

One thing i've been thinking though is where he will play at Liverpool. They bought Borini last summer who is more of a typical striker than Sturridge imo, and played him on the left wing.

He scored 3 goals from January to May, in the calendar year of 2011, he was great. I think he'll play right-wing for Liverpool. Said it before, but Sturridge-Suarez-Sterling is a good front three.
