Great idea to loan out all of our youngster without getting any back-up when we were supposed to give them chances.

Yeah exactly, we're loaning out our strikers and not replacing them with anyone (bar Torres hopefully )

I actually want Sturridge to stay and play up front with the likes of Torres (if we get him). I feel he would learn so much from one of the world's best strikers.

But as far as we don't have signed Torres (which I think won't happen) , we shouldn't loan him. Otherwise he will have just one sub (Kalou) to replace our whole forward line...

Even if he won't play, we must keep him, to make the number. 'Cause imagine, for instance, if Drogba and Anelka are both injured we would have to play Sala...

We're not going to make the homegrown rule soon.

Of course we are. Last time I checked we even had 1 unused foreigner slot and the smallest squad in the league. With Hilario and possibly Bossingwa going we will have 3(!) extra slots. Not to mention that Bertrand counts as homegrown.

Daniel Sturridge set for Bolton Wanderers move

Bolton are close to agreeing a deal to sign Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge on loan, BBC Sport understands.

Sturridge, 21, has been handed just four starts this season, with 17 substitute appearances, and has scored four goals.

Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti insisted he would use more of his younger players at the start of the season.

But Sturridge was also offered to Liverpool as part of a deal to sign Reds striker Fernando Torres.

Liverpool want £50m for the Spanish forward and rejected Chelsea's first offer of £35m.

They also turned down Chelsea's offer of cash plus Sturridge to try and sanction a deal but that was also rejected by Liverpool.

o.gif The Reds are said to be open-minded on an arrangement that would include former Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka moving back to Anfield.

Since moving from Manchester City in 2009, Sturridge has struggled to make his mark in a Chelsea side that includes forwards Anelka, Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda and Solomon Kalou.

He has scored nine goals in the two seasons he has been at the west London club. He also has 10 caps for the England under-21 team.
