Floyd needs to test himself more, respect to his skills though. The matchup with Pacman is all about drug testing. Did not realise both men were such scientists.

yeah, canelo lost cause he was exhausted from the weight cut, floyd haters are funny

It clearly was a factor! Canelo struggled to make weight! Which affected his preparation for the fight! Canelo didn't have his usual snap in his punches and clearly didn't look as good physically as he did against Trout!

Mayweather said when fighting Cotto that he made that fight at 154 because he wants his opponents to feel comfortable and fight at their best weight! Then he makes Canelo fight at 152!!! What a joke!

You do realize that that the catch-weight if anything was an advantage for Canelo. Floyd is a natural welterweight and is best at 147 right now. Canelo at 154. Surely a catchweight of 152 is fair. Canelo had him by 15lbs on fight night and you're still saying he was marginalized due to his weight? Btw Canelo weighed in at 153 against Trout and 152 vs. Mayweather, he had no problem making weight for both fights.

Are you serious? How on earth was the catch weight an advantage for Canelo??? It was a huge disadvantage! Canelo is still growing and is pretty much a middleweight now! And Floyd is draining him down to 152! Now how is that an advantage for Canelo?

Losing those extra 2 pounds has a big affect on a fighter! He has no body fat so that 2 pounds isn't fat that he lost but 2 pound of muscle! So how can that be advantageous to Canelo?

Canelo will start fighting at 160 very soon and then move onto super middleweight! 152 pounds Is a step too far for Canelo! And Floyd isn't stupid that's why he made sure this fight wasn't going to be at 154!

Pacquiao would have had no chance against Floyd. Look how much trouble Marquez gives to Pacquiao and Mayweather is a similar style boxer but much better in all aspects.

He made 153 for Trout and he made 152 for Mayweather and said he had no problem at all. Not sure why you think it was such a huge disadvantage. Why should Mayweather move up to 154? That's even more stupid. You want a guy who walks around at 146 to fight at 154? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why not just ask him to fight heavyweights?

Why should Mayweather move up to 154? Err maybe because he holds a title at 154!!!!!! The belt he won off Cotto! Damn do you even know what your talking about? Mayweather fought De la Hoya and Cotto at 154 and held the WBA light middleweight title going into this fight! But decided not to fight Canelo at the weight he has fought at twice before and the weight he holds a title at! Instead he decided to drain Canelo! SMH

Even when he moved up to that weight, he still always weighed in way below the limit. The fact is he isn't a natural 154. Canelo is huge. He had 15lbs on Mayweather on fight night and yet you still seem to think that he was marginalized by his weight.

The weight didn't have near as much difference, if at all, as you make it out to be. Canelo lost because Mayweather was the better boxer in every aspect, not because Canelo didn't have 25lbs on him instead of 15lbs. Give me a break. Weight is not the excuse.

I'm not even saying weight is the reason why Canelo lost! Mayweather was always going to outbox him! But you don't understand how those 2 pounds gave Mayweather an advantage! Why does Floyd need to drain those extra 2 pounds off him? He always has to get the advantage that's why! The fight would have been way more competitive had it been at 154 and Floyd knew that!

No fighter between 140-154 gives Mayweather a tougher fight than Pacquiao! Shame it will never happen!

Mayweather will do twice as better as Marquez against Pacquiao imo if compare it stylistically. It would be a great fight for sure, but I don't see any other outcome than a Mayweather win.

No way will he do twice as better! Your forgetting Marquez has fought Pacquiao 4 times and knows Pacquiao inside out! The 4th fight Marquez was clearly on peds but that's another story!

Pacquiao has everything to trouble Floyd he has the Hand speed, footwork, he throws punches from awkward angles that you don't see coming, he has the stamina to match Floyd, he is a great combination puncher and is a master at the one punch that can break Mayweathers tight defence! The straight right/left hand!

Cotto showed what happens when you throw that straight right on Mayweather! He threw that punch after every combo Floyd kept expecting a hook but the punch straight down the middle kept landing! Depending if Pacquiao fights the right fight he could certainly beat Floyd! Had they fought when they should have years ago my money would have certainly been on Pacquiao!

Mayweather is of course the better boxer but Pacquiao is the better fighter I just don't see Floyd making Pacquiao miss like he done to Guerrero or Canelo I think Pacquiao is too quick and too accurate it would take Floyd at least 6 rounds to start being able to time Pacquiao, but pacquiao's straight left could cause Mayweather a lot of trouble.

I never meant to discredit Pac. He's a great fighter, regardless of his struggles he will go down as a great. And, while I agree he has the tools to trouble Mayweather, I just think Mayweather is too good of a tactician. Cotto did catch Mayweather, but you could tell that was by choice, Mayweather fought a different fight that night. He wanted a brawl that night and no way he gets sucked into a brawl against Pac. He'll make it into a technical boxing match and pick him apart imo just like Marquez. Except Mayweather is faster, stronger and just a better boxer in all aspects than Marquez even.

Useless discussion though, like you said, they had the chance to make the fight but alas. I blame Bob Arum and Mayweather. I feel drug testing and all that other bullshit was just an excuse when in fact the real reason is that Arum wants no part of Mayweather and vice versa. It's sad really. Pac will only fight within Top Rank, thanks to Arum.

I agree that Mayweather could outbox Pacquiao but i dont think it would be as easy as his last 2 fight i think Pacquiao will come close or beat Mayweather i dont think Mayweather could beat Pacquiao by a wide UD! Pacquiao just keeps coming and keeps throwing punches and i have no doubt that he can land on Mayweather! either way i see that being a close fight the only other people who could give Mayweather a decent fight are Garcia, Bradley and Khan (but if Golovkin comes down to 154 he would destroy Mayweather but i dont see Mayweather ever fighting him) but Pacquiao is the only one other than GGG who has a legit chance of winning!

and the last bit about Arum and Mayweather is true now, but i do think that after Pacquiao destroyed Cotto at that time Mayweather was scared of Pacquiao, now its just Arum/Mayweather and his team who is in the way of the fight happening! only solution would be if Pacquiao does the smart thing and joins Goldenboy!

Golovkin is an animal. It's too bad he didn't appear on the scene earlier he's already like 31. He's too big to be fighting Mayweather imo. Think Garcia is next. Khan although has no chance against Mayweather but I can see that fight happening too cause of the strong relationship between Goldenboy and Mayweather and that Mayweather said that he wants to fight in the UK. Love that Mayweather has to fight twice a year now.

How did Ross score it a draw? Same judge that scored for Bradley against Pacquiao too. The Nevada Commission should look into her IMO she shouldn't be judging. I have to say Garcia surprised me against Matthysse too.

Klitchko beat Povetkin by judges' unanimous decision, a deserved win.

Klitchko has no challenge because the rest of them are bums. However, Klitchko would not last 3 rounds with Tyson, Ali, Norton, Holmes, Foreman the list is endless.
