Hazard is blessed with wonderful skill but at times this season he has exerted little influence on games. That is perhaps inevitable for a 22-year-old playing his maiden season with a new club but has been frustrating nonetheless. Against Basel he was given the role of primary playmaker and he excelled, eliminating defenders with darting runs and astute passes or shrugging them off with his remarkable strength. This is no meek youth, this is a player who revels in responsibility. Giving him more could help get more out of him.

I prefer Lampard's technique though. Blast it. For instance, if Hazard get's it wrong like vs Nordsjaelland, then it's an easy save for the keeper but in Lampard's case, the power of the penalty alone is enough sometimes even if he get's his direction wrong

Have you guys noticed when he snakes around or dribblings horizontally across the pitch he is almost impossible to tackle? I wish he would do it more often when is he far down the flanks, if he dribbles horizontally in the box it always seems like to A) set up a good pass, set up a good shot for him, or C) result in him gettting fouled in the box.

Its actually amazing how much better hes gotten as the season has gone on. Hes so confident with the ball at his feet now, and its ridiculous how easily he dribbles around 3 or 4 defenders at times.

Whats more amazing is hes only 22 and hes been our clear cut best player this season.

Yep. Next year should be good or him! Adapted and confident - hopefully with a better (more direct/faster playing) pivot and a nex striker. Njam!
