Eden Hazard

I would prefer to see tackles that like every week in the premier league again, gone are the days of a truely physical league. I miss those days.

I'd be happy for Bardsley not to be booked there BUT the referees be consistent - thats the issue, players mistime challenges, players crunch the technical ones to let them know they are there, referees just need to be consistent in what they are booking and what they are not.

Does anyone else feel that Eden slows our play down too much at times? Especially with his speed etc. I was disappointed and continue to be that he does not drive at the fullback more often? He had Bardsley 1v1 at least 4 times tonight and decided to stop and wait for another Stoke player.. Now whether that was part of the tactics to create space for others I am not sure but its something I've noticed in the last few games.

I feel the same, each time Eden receives a ball, he waits till a few players come back. But on the other hand I think he does it because that makes him more dangerous. By slowing down, He wants his opponent to almost stand still. When he starts to accelarate and he's on full pace no one could stop him. He feels good when he can take on players rather than going directly to the goal.

Can't risk resting our main creative spark against team that is likely to defend deep against us at the Bridge.

Yeah, but it might be a good idea to try to play without Eden once in a while. Andre-Oscar-Willian should be able to do the job.

If I have to choose a game to rest Eden in from the next three, I'd go with the Southampton one. Of course Andre-Oscar-Willian could do the job in any match, but I just think Eden is vital against smaller teams at home.

If Eden is 100% fit Jose will never rest him in any pl game or even any game from now on

I hope so. I was talking more hypothetical to make a point about which games I think we are more reliant on Eden in.

I do think he'll be rested for Watford, though.
