I refuse to blame him for that mistake. That attack came immediately after another attack by them (can't remember what exactly happened) and I believe Luiz dealt with that pretty ok. Then we gave it away (did we?) and the defense as a whole was in shambles with no idea what was going on. It looked like the Villa player on the ball was about to dribble into the box, Raul Meireles was too late to close him down, there wasn't enough pressure on the ball from the midfield so Luiz felt he had to cover the space that the Villa player (Agbonlahor I think) looked like he was about to run into.

Think he was trying to close down the space the player on the ball was running into, but he did it way too early... which just left a huge gap for the ball to be played in.

Luiz was expecting a pass in the other side, but then it was in the middle. Actually if you play real football you will realize that the worst thing for a defender is being in a 2 x 1 position, because you have to take care of two players: the one that posses the ball and the one that will receive. There was 3 AV players against Terry and Luiz, I dont think it was Luiz fault that goal. The defensive system is not only the two CBs.
