We'd at worst have the same GD. Don't know how they break the tie after GD

The amount of goals scored. Tottenham and Arsenal both have more than us at the moment but winning Liverpool would most likely mean we'd have scored more than Spuds.

Players I would pick for last two games:

essien to play on rb, try him before munich, maybe he will do better than bos

lukaku and romeu to try prove themselves in both matches, lpool is quite big one, good experience for them

torres to try score goals, drogba needs some rest

danny to get in form somehow, i doubt because his selfishnes

bertrand on lb to replace cole

ramires, meireles, iva, terry because they wont be in final

on last pl match, try cahill-luiz duo before munich game (if fit)

Need a clean sheet really if we do win..

Wait. For us to get 4th, what has to happen?

We have to win both, obviously. Do spurs and newcastle BOTH have to lose next weekend? Or will just one do?

Win Tues otherwise wont matter....then be on 64..max we could get then be 67...Newcastle can get 68 and Spurs 69 so yeah both do..if worked that out right lol

Thanks lol just looked at the table.

It's too much of a long shot. Need 2 of the 3 to los/draw right? Can't see that happening tbh.

And too risky!! What if an important player gets injured?! We're already missing 4 key players

Assuming we win both our remaining games:

If Arsenal loses against West Brom, we can overtake them

If Tottenham draws/loses against Fulham, we can overtake them

If Newcastle draws/loses against Everton, we can overtake them

So at least two of these three have to happen.

I assume we wont play top team against lpool, but with subs, means lpool will be pissed for loss, they play at home and I dont see us win somehow, draw at most. With our strongest team and will we would beat them, but mata, lamps, drogs, cole,...should be rested and afterall our team seems not to care about pl anymore, means we will play on easy and draw would be more normal.

Don't need both to lose, just drop points in their respective games.

Next weekend:

West Brom vs Arsenal

Tottenham vs Fulham

Everton vs Newcastle

Chelsea vs Blackburn

All depends on what we do at Anfield on Tuesday of course.

I think we can use the suspended players and the fringe players to beat Liverpool. They're shite!

Everton, West Brom and Fulham are no pushovers so there's an outside shot. Might as well try (while not risking our most impt players)

Think spurs will win that one. Newcastle to drop points. Don't know which arsenal will turn up.

Arsenal have had a massive let off today so will probably turn up for that one..Fulham are weird and Everton sometimes there sometimes not but both games being at home wana give the home fans something to cheer about and all...lots and lots of 'ifs' really
