This looks more like a different party which holds the same name rather than one which had any sort of possible enlightenment.

That's exactly what labour turned into. I don't even know how they can claim to be the same party, they're a shadow of their former selves. While not knowing what exactly happened it seems that's just the way you have to play in the political field of our country. Saw the same happen with the Liberal Democrats. Once they got into power with the Conservatives they simply played along with the latter's regime.

The only reason Labour's had a success in the polls this year is because people are pissed of with the situation. It's not a vote for Labour, it's a vote against the government. Of course I don't need to tell you about European politics, but here it's the same people supporting the same views just representing a different colour.

It might give the immigrants a better chance at life in France, though whether or not that is in France's best interest I can't tell. As for the all important foriegn policy, I see no changes what so ever. Though for some reason, I always find my self happy whenever a party in the left win the elections in a country.

Anywhere near the centre automatically makes a US politician a commie. Obama is centre-right, at best, and the conservatives still loathe him. I don't know why most American politicians hold capitalism as some kind of divine gift, when 15% of your huge population are in poverty that's a good indicator that something isn't working.
