He's fantastic under pressure. Doesnt come out of his position carelessly, and doesnt misplace a pass carelessly.

Hes already one of the best young Centerbacks already. Another fantastic peformance in another big game

He learned in the Bundesliga. Like KDB.

He is only 21 and he is just so amazing for a young defender.

He is the present and future of Chelsea.

Just imagining KDB still at CFC in the Cesc role. + feeding crosses to Morata. SMH Jose.

Jose never trust young players even if they are very much talented. How dreadful indeed he gets rid of KDB.

Conte does. Christensen is a case in point. Ampadu will follow suit. Conte made it clear.

Come on Chelsea!

One thing that puzzles me is people's - mostly non-Chelsea fans - reaction to Christensen's performance against United. I know he came in for Luiz but he has started in the XI before and done well in previous matches and yet, people seem surprised by the manner of his performance, as if he came out of nowhere. And speaking of Luiz, the situation around him being dropped is just silly. When Conte dropped Cahill, there was barely any fuss even though he's the captain. Conte dropped Luiz, there's suddenly a big fuss being made about it. Guess it speaks of volume of how the two players are held in different regard but the whole thing is just dumb. Would like to think that Luiz is a proper pro and will eventually work his way back onto Conte's good side.

Do not understand why people keep on harping about Luis like he's some sort of genuine world class talent. Did alright at Atletico before we bought him but has hardly been setting the world alight since then, even after returning to Atletico.

People are judging him against our current option. We wouldn't be having this discussion if Sandro was signed.

Yeah...but it was not like Luis was pulling up any trees while he was here.

Hard for him to do so with Mourinho around and only 26 games in all comps. We all need to look forward though & forget the players that have gone.

If he was English, ourselves, City, and United would be after him and asked to pay £45-50m. We're very fortunate to already have him and even more fortunate that he isn't yet another youth product who went out on loa and either stalled/failed or got discouraged by not getting a chance here and walking. Also very fortunate that Mourinho is no longer here because he wouldn't get a sniff.

Whats his contract situation looking like? Everything possible should obviously be done to make sure he stays for a long, long time.

TBH, all this talk of Mou not giving chance to youth is not entirely true. He gave chance to Zouma and he now plays Baily every week at united who was 22 when he arrived.

Its simply a matter of quality and imediate impact. Yes, young players usualy dont have imediate impact, thats the point, but very very few do, and when that is, Mou plays them, regardless of age.

Thats why Zouma played here, Baily and Rashford play at United, Varane did at Real. All under Mou. Pretty sure Christensen would too, if he Mou was still here, because the boy is quality and has imediate impact. On other hand, KDB simply didnt have that impact back then with us. Talented yes, but with much to learn. Even last year, he was very inconsistent, only this year he truly truly stepped up.

Indeed we made mistake selling KDB, but I understand why he didnt play under Mou. It was series of misfortunate moments; Mou coaching him when he was not ready yet, Chelsea loaning him out and as result him wanting to leave when he was becoming realy quality player. If only we put buyback clause, thats where we truly fucked up.

Still the beauty of football is when someone isnt at club anymore, someone else comes. In our case it will just take more time and money to find our KDB again.
