Chelsea and the EPL are the only English things I like :) Well said. The Poms should stop trying to claim Murray as their own just because they have no good Tennis players

that post explains a lot of your views... small minded Aussie a disgrace to a decent country founded by the British.

Shut it old timer. England is a spent power. You suck at every other sport other than Football, fucking idiot.

you post dozens of stupid posts in a day ... try to explain your hatred for the English ...but use rational arguements not stupid schoolboy rants.

We're actually better at Cricket than football lol but yeah jeeez he needs to calm down, maybe England's rise in Cricket is making him nervous. Top of the test rankings, gonna be top of the ODI rankings soon, T20 holders. And 3rd in the FIFA football rankings and building a good Rubgy team again that will challenge, got a good draw in South Africa the other week, shoulda won the game. Think he's just getting his words in before England dominate the Aussies at everything so he might as well be a loud mouth now, he might not get the chance again. But like Liverpool fans, talk about the good ol' days aye.... "in my day, we used to beat England all the time" blah, blah, blah just relax, there's nothing you can do to stop the England serge except sit back and hate it.

Back on topic.... Glad Federer is back at number 1. He'll officially be the best ever with his record of weeks at number 1 and thoroughly deserved.

He whips Murray every 2 years in a different grand slam final :D

2008 - US Open Final, Federer beats Murray

2010 - Australian Open Final, Federer beats Murray

2012 - Wimbledon Final, Federer beats Murray

2014 - French Open Final, Federer beats Murray? Would be hilarious but hugely unlikely unfortunately lol.

off topic Wiggins whips Evans in Tour De France .....

Wiggins is someone you shouldn't be proud of. For one thing, he's not even British. Born in Belgium to an Australian father. Chris Froome is a gentleman and I hope if a 'Brit' (he's actually Kenyan and was a pro bike rider for the early years of his career as a Kenyan) is to win it this year its him, Wiggins is a twat. Don't get too far ahead of yourself either, there's still 2 weeks left in the race, anything can happen in that time. This little beauty still stands in the way of Wiggins and the yellow jersey in Paris:

Wiggins is the cycling equivalent of Ricky Ponting. Obnoxious, brash, arrogant, and disliked by a vast majority of fellow professionals that aren't in his team. Furthermore he is derided among cycling fans as a 'wheelsucker' (To be on a long bike race and trailing a person or group very closely (thereby minimizing your effort and making the person in front of you do all the hard work)all day until the last leg, then taking off to finish the ride first in front of your buddies like you are the hero.). He cost his fellow team mate and 'Brit' Froome the opportunity to win the Tour of Spain last year through his arrogance. This years race suits Wiggins incredibly well, and he's also been helped by the absence of two of the best cyclists in recent years, Alberto Contador and Andy Schleck. He won't kick on from this and go on to dominate the sport, once normals service is restored in terms of routes and the big boys come back to play Wiggins will find it very difficult. Froome, however, is the real deal and as a cycling fan I'm very excited over his potential.

There's no doubt that Britain is experiencing a golden age of sporting achievement. Britain is having its best period in virtually every sport that it plays (football aside), Australia underwent a similar period between 1996 and 2004, that era represented our greatest ever cricket, rugby (league and union), football, track cycling and swimming teams. There's no coincidence that that period revolved around hosting the Olympics. Governments tend to invest a lot into sport around the years where an Olympiad is hosted, and it pays off until the funding is withdrawn. Britain will be up there for another 4 years or so in terms of sporting achievement across-the-board but like Australia before it there will be a decline. Also it must be said that Britain's sporting investment consists of flying a few guys down to Southern Africa, rounding up every sportsman with British ancestry and saying "How about playing for England, lads?". It's not a sustainable manner to go about improving your nations sporting ability.
