Frank Lampard

Is he the type to stay happy with the way things are though? I don't think there are many people who will pull a 'Giggs'.

If what Lampard said is to be believed, then yeah. He has said he wants to emulate what Giggs has done at United.

But that envolves several causes, such as plying on reduce wages (I don't think Giggs was ever payerd over £120,000 or even £100,000) which I don't think he would accept, plus its easier to say then do and I think he has said that he wants to still be a focul point of the team for two or three years more, something that is not really possible.

Edit: Here is the article

Ridiculous. Your hate for him is well documented but have the decency to not make up quotes.

Here is stuff he has actually said over the past year :

“I look at people like Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs at Manchester United and see what they are still doing and I would love to do the same for Chelsea. I want to emulate them.”

“I considered playing abroad three or four years ago, that’s true. But I decided to be here at Chelsea for the long haul."

“You can see what can be achieved by players like John Terry and Steven Gerrard who have been one-club men. Talks are planned with the club in the summer and as long as they want me, I would be more than happy to continue."

“As you get that bit older, you can’t play the same way as you did five or six years ago. But I still feel I can contribute. I still feel good and I feel fresh in training and I am enjoying my football as much as ever.”

Rafael Benitez challenges Frank Lampard to prove he is worth new Chelsea deal

http://www1.skysports.com/news/12040/8351092/

WTF?! You Spanish Fat Cunt! Lamps is 1000000000 times better and bigger than you. You (Rafa) need to prove Yourself.

A. Read beyond the headline.

B. Rafa does have a point and Lamps would agree with it.

Personally, I think he would have to take a significant wage cut and accept the fact that he's not a first-teamer anymore. Then you have to look at the younger players that he would be taking a spot ahead of, and you have to ask where he would actually play in the team.

If Lamps will accept this, he must to stay.
