I've been saying over and over again to get phil jones. THe hardest thing to find is an underrated English footballer and he was one. He's very similar to David Luiz in that he's very technical and can play in several position because of that. He's younger so you can actually mold him to play in the most important part of the pitch: midfield.

There are English players with perhaps more potential, but I reckon Phil is almost a sure thing.

I'd rather see Chalobah given a chance after his Nott. Forest loan spell..cause United won't sell Jones to us.

Maybe I'm just overrating Chalobah's potential but he seems to have a level of maturity and calmness that other youngsters don't possess..

Yeah, we tried with Rooney and look what happened in the end. Did nothing but waste our time pursuing a target that was hard to get. It was more of hope then than expecting to sign him.

I'm pretty sure Feruz won't count as home grown even though he's Scottish. The rule is bullshit, apparently Scots aren't counted as home grown for some reason. Not 110% sure might need to check but I'm certain I read it somewhere.

If he stays at least 3 season @ club from his 15 to 21, he would be homegrown no matter scottish or not
