Romelu Lukaku

Sigh, again sigh with this old debate.

So much speculation over something you simply cannot predict. Hazard WAS ready even though I heard a lot of people on here thinking otherwise - he still is being the second best for us this season after Mata. Once again, I am ready to take sides with The only place to be. He can do it in the EPL for us. Just like he has done in the belgian NT before and in Anderlecht - even younger AND on the european stage as well.

We are way, way too suspicious. Why the hell do we buy these players even?

What I do agree with, is that there is a 'critical mass' of youngsters. I think Hazard will be much , more consistent next season, so I will not count him in - neither will I see Dave as a youngster. KDB still IS inconsistent though brilljant - quoque Oscar I believe. They will be inconsistent here next year as well - KDB more than Oscar. So, our prospects/transfers should be established players to minimize that critical mass. But keep loaning out the likes of KDB and Lukaku is just plain stupid. Why. The. Hell. Did. We. Buy. Them. For. Otherwise.

Key is: buy experiened players to fortify the central axis of the team and get those two brilliant youngsters back. a DM - a REAL DM, a CB and ... yes a striker maybe. this depends on the manager/our ambition level next year.

End of message :Goober:

Out of likes,i think people want our loanee's to win the golden boot or the ballon d'or before recalling them.If we dont trust our young players then why sign them in the first place?Just sign the established superstars in the team then.

A cool video about the season he's having for West Brom.

Btw: he is on the shortlist for young player of the year

ps: He starts at 04.00 pm against Newcastle. As our beloved Chelsea doesn't play today, why not watch him? :)

Even though he's settled at West Brom under a good manager and a fairly good team, I would still say that we loan him out to Swansea if the rumours are true. At West Brom they lump long balls to him or he's able to run in behind. At Chelsea neither of those will happen, especially the chance of running in behind as we play high possession so opponents naturally play deep against us, so his pace while important won't cover his mediocre hold-up play. A loan at Swansea will help him play in a high possession team with quick passes and link up play.

@OptaJoe: 44 - Romelu Lukaku has been offside more frequently than any other player in the PL this season (every 44 mins on average). Flagged.

Apologies, it is most frequent offsides, not the most.

Watching Daniel play today makes me wonder about Lukaku...

If Sturridge wasn't able to get playing time on Chelsea, how in the world is Lukaku going to.......

As of right now, Daniel>Lukaku, however, even when we were playing with one forward (Torres and no Ba) he was unable to get much playing time....Next season, with Torres and Ba and maybe someone else, how in the world is Lukaku going to get playing time here...

And Lukaku should come back next year, if we let him play f1/2nd of the games (cup matches/ now and then an european/pl match) he would be our 2nd best striker (dependable on who we buy). And in 1/2 years we'll prolly have one of the best strikers in PL.
