  1. General Transfer Talk

Missed 600 match days in last 5 years.
  2. Arturo Vidal

age24 11/12 7.68 - Juventus age25 12/13 7.77 - Juventus age26 13/14 7.46 - Juventus age27 14/15 7.34 - Juventus Sold to Munich for €40m age28 15/16 7.40 - Munich age29 16/17 6.99 - Munich This is his whoscored ratings for last 6 years. I take whoscored rating with grain of salt but can be a good measurement to see how players performed in yearly basis. He is surely in decline(albeit still a good player he is) and 2 yrs older than he was when Munich got him for £34m and why the heck we need to splash £40m for soon-to-be 30 yrs old player who is in decline? Not a good business if you ask me.
  3. Franck Kessié

He might have faked his age imo.. When he was 16 yrs old playing for U-17 tournament. His build and face seem doubtful for 16 yrs old kid. He simply isn't good enough to start over Fabregas and Matic and will be one for future. What if he lied about his age?
  4. Radja Nainggolan

If kids can singlehandedly destroy PSG, Spurs of the world, then sign them up, rather than 29 yrs old who rejected us already. Our own bison was never the same bison we used to know since his age 28.
  5. James Rodríguez

No mate. Pogba is such a physically strong beast. When he wants to hold onto ball, no one can nick ball out from him. He is so strong with great body balance for man his size plus have silky smooth touch so he can get out of pressure like magic. Plus he can bomb forward with his drrible which James are not capable of doing it. James is total opposite of that. He cannot get out of high pressure from top teams. Slower than big dude Pogba and lacking great body balance, People think of deploying him on RW but he is just slightly faster than Cahill and Alonso there's a reason why Lucas freaking Vasquez starting ahead of him at RW position for Real Madrid. Vasquez is much inferior player than Willian and Pedro. Admit he is big name, get that he has one of the best kick ability in the world and argurably top 10 no.10 in the world but boy is he so limited, one dimensional for 75m player.
  6. James Rodríguez

What makes you thinking that way? Since his Siena days in Seire B, he always preferred dynamic, pacey, strong midfielders who are grinding and fighter, These list of players are known to be Conte's "men" Do you see common traits they share? Naiggolan Giaccherini Sturaro Vidal Marchisio Moses Kante Sanchez... They all are physically strong, work their socks off on defense, and are warriors. These are the DNA Conte adopted every single team he managed: Always press opposition. Even in attacking third. Always work on defensive aspect of game. Fowards, Midfielders and defenders all need to work as a single unit to defend and attack together. Total opposite of James don't you think? Slow, lazy on defense, physically weak, primadonna rather than a warrior. Players like James & Mata & Ozil are great players themselves but they hinder their teams taking next step to be the strongest powerhouse in Europe. It is not a coincidence Real won 2 CL without James & Ozil.
  7. James Rodríguez

Eden Hazard signed 5.5 years contract extension in December 2015. If Real really wants Hazard they might try their luck 4 years later when his contract expires. By that time Hazard would be almost 30. I am okay with that rather than selling our ace and setting bad bar for the club. (See Munich treatment on Ribery.. thats the way it should be for biggest clubs in Europe.)
  8. James Rodríguez

One thing I learned over the years while watching football over a decade, is that never spend big bucks on broken goods (Torres, Kaka, Gundogan, De Vrij.. etc.) Reus for me is injury prone.
  9. James Rodríguez

In modern football, where pressing / great ball keeping to get out of pressure are two key elements of success for biggest teams in Europe. Players who do not have that ability will likely fade away in big matches and will remain as liability. Mata, Ozil, etc.... James is prototypical of Mata/Ozil type of players. Slow like donkey, cannot and will not track back, have great kick, is famous name but doesn't have hunger. (have you seen Ozil yesterday once City player nicked ball from him, he just sigh and stopped tracking back?) I want hungry, pacey, ambitious player for Chelsea. Give me Ousmane Dembele over James Rodriguez any day of the week.
  10. James Rodríguez

James is pretty much Mata. Slow - checked. Cannot defend - checked. Cannot dribble past defenders - checked. Great shooting/passing - checked. Poor ball keeping - checked. This guy is just pure no.10. James at RW is worse than Pedro. It would be a huge waste of money. We need a dynamic, pacey, hungry, and ambitious player, not James.
  11. Virgil Van Dijk

Born: July 8, 1991 (age 25), Breda, Netherlands Height: 6′ 4″ Weight: 203 lbs Imo, the best CB in PL right now. Big, strong, reasonably fast, can dribble and bomb forward without brain farts, very strong in air and has good passing. This is the guy we should look for. I am okay with splashing 50m for this guy. Hazard-Costa-Pedro Alonso-Matic-Kante-Moses Dijk-Luiz-Azpi Our team will be a damn strong fortress.
  12. James Rodríguez

James is the second coming of Lampard. Their creativity, superb pass/shoot, though a bit limited in ball control. Essien-Lampard-Makelele -> Matic-James-Kante It would be the best midfield in PL easily. Sell 29 yrs old Cesc for ~40m and buy 25 yrs old James for 80m. Worth it.
  13. James Rodríguez

Really wish it is true. Sell Cesc for 45m, Cuadrado for 30m, Pedro for 25m and get James for 85m. It would be one helluva signing. Koulibaly, Fabinho, James for this summer. Mahrez for next summer. Hazard-Costa-Mahrez (Moses) (Batman) (Willian) Kante-James-Matic (Maia) (Oscar) (Chalobah) Azpi-Koulibaly-Christensen-Fabinho (Baba) (Zouma) (Cahill) (Aina) Doable against big boys in champions league.
  14. General Transfer Talk

It is pound, so if you multiply 1.40 then it may sound somewhat closer. (Koke's buyout is 42m pound. 60m pound is equivalent to 84m euro.)
  15. General Transfer Talk

Out: Oscar ~25m Mikel ~5m Cahill ~10m Romeu ~5m Remy ~8m Drogba ~0m Moses ~12m Cech ~10m ~75m In: Rudy(GK) ~5m Lacazette(ST) ~25m Yarmolenko(RW) ~15m Stones(DC) ~20m Bruno(MF) ~15m 1) one of Pogba/Koke 40~60m or 2) one of Imbula/Kondogbia 15~25m 100~150m Bruno is one of the best midfielders in La Liga and his buyout is just 14m pound. He is old at age 30 but can contribute like Carzola for a few seasons. Rudy is homegrown keeper. Stones learn from Terry and build partnership with Zouma. Yarmolenko has one year left in contract and has a combination of physicality and technique to have success in PL. One of Pogba/Koke would be a dream but I wouldn't say No to Imbula or Kondogbia. Lacazette is the best player in Leauge 1 and is still very young at age 23. Can play multiple positions and goal scoring machine.
