There are still old boys like us going away but there is definitely a lot of younger geezers going to away which is good. I believe Chelsea lost a generation of fans between 75-95. We were young then FB so we stayed but young fans tended to go for Spurs, Arsenal although not in the 80's for them Liverpool and United. Lets be honest Chelsea were not exactly a major pull for young fans then three relegations, hooliganism, racism, crumbling ground which was the most expensive in the country to get in.
Our reputation as well stopped a lot of younger fans going as well I know a couple of geezers who are QPR season ticket holders simply because their parents wouldn't let them go to Chelsea matches !.

Very true Iggs. Though I would take issue with the away games. Quite a lot of old cunts like myself when I go, though generally the demographic is right for home games. I know loads of old season ticket fuckers that would never go North of Watford, or even to the Emirates now. They have their bi weekly routine, same parking space, etc and don't want to deviate from it.

Play with a back 3 with wing backs.
Bring Zouma and tomori back in.
    Kepa back in goal.
Reece james and Alonso whipping balls in for Giroud.
With kante out, back to the jorginho / kovacic partnership in midfield, which worked well when we went on that winning run earlier in the season - likewise for Zouma and tomori.

Yeah I know Vesp, its only a British humour thang towards yanks
I was in the Red Onion club years back (The club where OJ met Nicole) in LA. These three LA girls Candy, Nadia and Rusty said 'Youre from England ?? Do you know Dave from Manchester ?' They were serious.

REF WATCH Fans fume at Man Utd ‘fix’ with referee Anthony Taylor AND VAR’s Chris Kavanagh both born in Manchester amid Chelsea row

Haha, I can totally relate. My first day at the Bridge also ended up with a rather ignominious defeat for the Chels, but to me the result was nothing more than a bonus.  Nothing can take away the sheer joy of being there in person for the very first time. Truly special.

Even Roy Keane has said Maguire should have been sent off. With VAR they can say 'the officials didn't see it'. We can all see it, it's corruption.

It's silly. I get the reason for it but seriously. Like the offside for Wolves when the ref didnt have a clue who was offside. How does that work?!

So yeah, last night was garbage. I mean we should have got more but we didn't. The ref was wild, var and offside rule are ruining the game. But above all that I had this below. Was my eldest wee fellas first match at the bridge. He laughed, sang, shouted. Was angry, happy, annoyed, elated all in one match. For me last night was a shocking result. But I had this wee geezer to bring me back down to earth. Can't explain the joy it brought me bringing him to his first Chelsea match (at Stamford bridge). Really and truly is what it's all about

Maguire should have seen red, Willian booking, Martial elbow into Christensen's face - only to be expected with a Manc ref

    Massive overreaction again on here.
Yes, it hurts to lose to Utd.
But, we knew this was the season ahead of us and yet you are all acting surprised?
It's been a steady decline over the past 5 seasons.
One summer window won't make up for that, so I guess you need to mentally prepare yourself for a few more bumpy years.
It's easy to be a supporter when times are good, not so easy when things are poor. I remember worse Chelsea teams and performances.
Frank is doing a decent job - it's not his fault he was selected and it will hurt him as much as anyone to keep losing.
If we had a half decent striker - we would feel better about things. When Bats got through on goal I knew he would never score.
When it was Didier, Eidur or Jimmy - I was always surprised when they missed...
Long road ahead - chill out and buckle in 👍

*Actually probably 6 seasons - if you count some of the crazy transfers and shite signings, we lost our way big time.
Let's hope we have turned a corner this summer.
