  1. 30. David Luiz

The first half was awful, but fortunately he was much better during the second half. Even though he made the crucial interception in our second goal, I have and probably always will prefer him in the defensive line. His ball control is just too shaky to be a midfielder in my opinion. But no matter what position he's playing, the attitude this lad is unbelievable. We were lucky to get him back from PSG.
  2. Romelu Lukaku

No doubt he has the abilities to be one of the greatest strikers of the game. He's a quick and strong striker who has got that nose for goal. I also think that from the technical and strategic aspect he has developed a lot at Everton. I remember how glad I was when we signed him for the first time, but maybe the expectations were too high back then. He was just a boy with a good goal scoring record in the Belgian league, but was lacking aforementioned technical and strategic skills that are essential in the Premier League. Of course he's still young, but I think that he has proved himself at Everton. He can score goals in the PL and be a leading character in the team. At the age of 24, this is exceptional. Maybe he can do the same here as King Didier.
  3. 10. Eden Hazard

Was nice to see him scoring again. Did he actually kiss the badge while celebrating? It certainly looked like he did, but the TV-cameras were filming at his back so it's hard to see
  4. Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool

Very big blame on Conte now. Why can't he just make substitutions earlier? And when he makes them, why not to choose Batshuayi? Can't understand the rationale behind all this, if there is any because the decisions he makes are weird.
  5. Chelsea v Liverpool

    wtf
  6. Chelsea v Liverpool

Where are the aubstitutions once again?
  7. The Conte Thread

Too early to make big conclusions but at least it looks like we have got back this ability of turning the games to wins in the last minutes. For many years I think we haven't been very good in that sense. Scoring a late winner is maybe the best feeling in football, but of course it would be nice to seal games also in the earlier stage.
  8. 23. Michy Batshuayi

Wow, for me he looks to be a very, very good signing. He's young and strong, and he's got that eye for goals. For now he's a perfect 2nd striker for us, as he can make an impact when he goes on the pitch. And for sure, during this season there will be many chances for him to show his ability in the starting lineup. As he gets more comfortable with the Premier League and English football, I can see him becoming a very good striker in the future. He might be our 1st choice striker one day, depending on what we do in the transfer market.
  9. 10. Eden Hazard

Was so nice to see some of the old Eden. At his best he's such a magnificent player to watch. The problems he had last season were more of mental rather than anything else. An elite player won't come bad in a few months, there were just too much problems with Mourinho, and also other players didn't produce. But yeah, I don't want to recall our last season anymore. Like the rest of the squad, Eden is back destroying the opposite defenders. Let's enjoy it!
  10. The Pub - Discuss Anything

Nothing special really, basic disco/club music
  11. The Pub - Discuss Anything

Me and my friend are coming to London for the NYE. Now I'm asking for your advice my fellow Chelsea boys: What is the best nightclub to go to? We are Uni students, so we would like to go some place where there would be roughly same aged people.
  12. Chelsea v Sunderland

So, is Hazard going to play? Any news on him?
  13. Tottenham 0-0 Chelsea

I think it was an intense match and the result could've been anything really. Both teams had some good chances but neither could use them, so probably 0-0 was the right result for both teams. We had some good attacking combinations, but especially the first 20-25 minutes of the second half were frustrating. Keeping the clean sheat is always nice, and I see that our defending is getting better. We just need to start scoring more. Hazard was active again, and I'd be surprised if he didn't score in the upcoming fixtures as there are some rather nice opponents coming up.
  14. The Mourinho Thread

So nice that we have stability now in this area. José and Chelsea... can't get better than this!
