  1. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Zola just by being Zola already has far more authority and influence on the players than Sarri has. I'm sure they would listen to him like they all did with Robbie.
  2. 7. N'Golo Kante

You are right, but IMO they are only saying that because Jorginho's been a fraud lately. He is looking more and more like another big flop.
  3. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

He should be gone at half time.
  4. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Exactly. There were people here banging on about defensive stability, now we've let 4 in you don't hear them anymore. Less and less arguments with every game, until they are left with none. Sarri also has no authority, because we've got players in this team who have done more in football world than he has. He's basically a nobody to them and the inability to impose himself as a leader is evident. Zola has far more impact on the players than he has. The comparisons with Guardiola and Klopp are laughable, you lads should check again what Klopp did with Dortmund before coming to England. We've now gone full circle with all these managers, coaches, tacticians, philosophers.. I really do think we should hire someone who is one of us, has connections at the club, brings some peace and authority and is respected by everyone at Chelsea. We need this along with hiring football men in the board and getting rid with the deadwood we have in this team. A lot of these players lack quality, its not that they don't try. Fresh start in every department.
  5. 10. Eden Hazard

I don't blame him at all. He's been carrying this lot on his shoulders for years. My biggest regret is that we had this player probably in his prime but failed to build a strong team around him to challenge for the Champions League properly. He will leave in summer, its almost certain now. Hopefully that will at least force the board to start fresh, because there is no way we can replace Eden.
  6. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Its been 23 years since we lost a game by 4-0. Let that sink in.
  7. 5. Jorginho

Mikel >>> Jorginho The fact this player was a star in Serie A shows how poor that league is.
  8. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Yes we really do have some average players, players that are not good enought but even with them in the team - to be beaten 4-0 against Bournemouth is absolutely disgraceful. The way we play is plain shit. Somebody has to tell the smoking one this is not a game of chess, football is simple and that makes it a beautiful game. Bournemouth showed it today. The more I watch Chelsea, the more I think we should go with one of our own as a manager.
  9. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

    Sarri out!
  10. Chelsea 3-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Willian slows every attack down. Odoi so much more direct. They really have parked a double decker.
  11. 1. Kepa Arrizabalaga

I am so delighted we got rid of the fucking cancer that was Courtois and brought this kid in. Seems such a nice and polite fella We love you Kepa
  12. Chelsea 2-1 Spurs

Once again shown how simple a game football is. Everyone who knows a thing or two about it saw what needed to be done in this team. Alonso and Willian removed, a CF on the pitch resulting in much more energy, pace and quick passing in our play. First time we scored 2 goals in the first half in ages. I do think we would have put 3 or 4 past them had they not scored to make it 2:1, which made our team a bit more cautious going forward. Our defence was pretty poor today but we got away with because they had no Kane, Alli or Son. And btw, Atkinson is an absolute bellend. Abysmal refereeing yet again.
  13. Chelsea 2-1 Spurs

This happens just when you have a centre-forward on the pitch, even if its Giroud, and remove Alonso and Willian.
  14. Chelsea 2-1 Spurs

Martin Atkinson probably the worst ref to officiate these games against Spuds. Proper donkey of a ref, doesn't understand the game at all. Dier will probably get a yellow if he sends some of our players to the hospital.
  15. 9. Gonzalo Higuain

Marina getting hotter with every new transfer announcement pic 😍
  16. 10. Eden Hazard

He played brilliantly at the beginning of the season. Scoring, assisting for fun. Everyone here and Sarri were praising him. Now he moves him to centre-forward and tries to turn him into Salah or Mertens, suddenly the story is completely different. Very poor management. Not saying he is as good as Messi and Ronaldo, but give them some of Eden's teammates and see how he does. Messi is already showing it in the national team. I don't blame him at all for what is happening to us atm.
  17. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

These pundits are really clueless. Kante on the right is not even in the top 3 of our issues at the moment. I do agree he needs to drop Jorginho though. Why not play Kova there? He's just as good, if not even better technically and can also put a shift in defensively. I've never seen such a rigid manager.
  18. Gonzalo Higuain

I will be content with just not having to watch the false 9 crap anymore. Besides Hazard can return to his position and see more of the ball. Everything else is a bonus from Higuain. I agree with your points, but I also question and doubt his fitness and physicality. Playing in Serie A is completely different to the Premier League, as seen in many examples latest being our own midfielder.
  19. Gonzalo Higuain

We are so desperate that even the old fat boy looks like a light of hope at the minute. Anyways this kind of signing is why we need a proper director of football. Any new manager needs at least one season till he gets rid of the deadwood the previous one signed. So the circle continues.
  20. Chelsea 2-1 Spurs

I wouldn't. Conte's "suffering" last season is as bad as Sarri's pointless posession. Mourinho also deserved the sack. We have to keep searching until we find the right manager. People want basically anyone to stay long term, but it's not easy to find to find a Ferguson, or even someone like Pocchetino at Spurs. On the other hand, I do think we need our legends and ex-players in and around the club. Very happy Zola and Joe Cole are back now and a lot of others are in various ways still connected to the club. We also have a huge gap between the footballing and financial side, and we desperately need to appoint someone with insight and knowledge of the game, but above all with a vision of how the team should be built and play football. This person should be in charge of recruitment (both players and coaches/managers) and the other board members would only take care of the financial side of negotiations. The only person IMO who didn't deserve the sack was Di Matteo.
  21. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Another issue is that Sarri has made it clear to everyone that he only selects from a small crop when it comes to the League. It has created an environment where virtually half the squad are participating in training knowing there is little chance of a start at the weekend. It is not exactly a motivational tool. One player was heard joking that he was not sure Sarri “even knows what my name is”. 😂😂😂 The grandpa's losing it big time.
  22. 5. Jorginho

All fair points but the big question remains: where can he improve? He has no pace, physically very weak especially for the position he is playing, technically I don't think he can improve much at this age. So do you think he will somehow hit better passes in his 2nd season or run faster? He will always be "exposed" because of pace. I agree he is not even top 3 of our problems at the minute, but lets not fool ourselves he is an extremely limited player and will probably remain like that
  23. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

If he thinks motivation is the only and biggest problem with certain players then we are fucked and no wonder he's not won a trophy.
  24. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Arsenal kept a clean sheet against us. The only team that kept less clean sheets than them this season os Fulham. Same subs whether we are 2:0 up or 2:0 down. I am done with these idiots trying to make football like its a game of chess. Starting the Lampard in campaign from now on.
  25. 3. Marcos Alonso

My goodness. Remember the other rumour making rounds on social media, when we signed him apparently people at Fiorentina could not believe their eyes that somebody, especially a club of our caliber, put such a bid in. I am starting to believe it, no wonder he's been at Bolton and Sunderland before. What a donkey.
