  1. The Conte Thread

Moses or even Azpi (if you want to go more defensive) can be the RWB. Willian and Pedro are too small for RWB imo. Like yesterday, Moses had to rely on his physicality a lot, especially with Azpi being a small CB as well on the right side. I'd play Azpi as RWB if you want to go more defensive, with Zouma as RCB. No new players needed here. For LWB, I'm confident Baba is good enough to help out next season onwards. No new players needed here. I would like to get a more clinical RF to compete with Pedro and Willian. Griezmann would be a godsend there. James Rodriguez would be nice too. But regardless, we should try to find a left footer. Traore can also be used there when he's back from Ajax. CM, we def need a B2B player to compete with Matic and Kante, this should be a priority along with another CB next summer window.
  2. Victor Moses

Firstly, huge respect to Moses. Never gave up and has shown amazing determination to fight for a place at Chelsea. Great role model and example for everyone. Secondly, oh my lord, how quickly he's learned that RWB role. The offensive side was never going to be an issue, but wow, he was very very good defensively. He reminded me of Azpi at times at how good he was at positioning and just reading the game.
  3. 28. César Azpilicueta

Naaaah Moses has already learned that role so quickly. Like unbelievably quickly. Plus offensively, Moses is a beast. Maybe not so great in the final third, but his power and ability on the ball is a huge asset in bringing the ball up the pitch. Plus 1 on 1, he can skin pretty much any defender too.
  4. 7. N'Golo Kante

    The adorable BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. 3. Marcos Alonso

You bring up a good point. Not sure who else could play there. No other left-footers in the team so no matter who it is, it'll be a little unbalanced. Maybe Aina can do a job. And, so could Azpi once Zouma is fit to play RCB.
  6. Yes, please fix Tapatalk. That was my primary means to view the forum. Is it cause the site doesn't get no ad revenue for Tapatalk visits?
  7. 7. N'Golo Kante

Everytime with Chelsea, it takes a new manager or just a complete horror show of an entire season for managers to try something different. But with Conte, he's been experimenting from the first match. And even when he initially settled on one, he's adapted right away and changed things around. Kante started as a holding mid and now he's an all out box to box mid, the perfect role for him. Thanks you based Conte.
  8. 23. Michy Batshuayi

Yeah, I don't buy that at all. He's clearly an important first team member.
  9. Tapatalk isn't working for me either. Doesn't connect to the forum.
  10. David Luiz

That happened twice. Both times during the back 3 phase of the defence. Whatever, I'd write off the second half. All kinds of mess was going on there.
  11. The Conte Thread

Growing pains on a new team. It's fair for him to give the "senior" players the first chance. But as long as he learns and adapt and realizes Ivanovic and Cahill should never start again, then I'm fine. He has to show he's learned from the losses. If he can show that, he's fine in my book, even if he loses after making the changes.
  12. Diego Costa

What the Fuck did he get booked for? Koscielny fouls him like 5 times and just walks away. He lets out one scream in frustration and gets booked?
  13. Gary Cahill

That's 3 games in a row. He got caught against Leicester too. How do you let the same thing happen 3 times? I'm sorry, that makes no sense to me.
  14. Cesc Fàbregas

Not sure how you can blame Fabregas after that. You can't think of anyone else who deserves more blame?
  15. 15. Kurt Zouma

Please come back. I don't care if you come back and make mistakes. At least there's a chance you learn from it.
  16. 9. Tammy Abraham

The biggest positive for me is that he has been BULLYING championship defenders. If he can do that at 18, be that strong in the air and with his back to the goal, he'll be perfectly fine in the PL. Bamford has beautiful technique and finishing but he is nothing special from a physical point of view. Almost everyone plays with 1 striker how, and if you can't hold the ball up, you're not going to make it. Hence why Bamford won't and I worry about Solanke a bit in that sense too, he's better than Bamford at holding the ball up but not that great tbh.
  17. 15. Kurt Zouma

Luiz and Zouma would be great. But would it really work? It seems without Terry organizing the back line, they all fall apart. Luiz has never been the organizer ever, Chelsea, Brazil or PSG. And Zouma is surely too young and inexperienced to become the organizer.
  18. Victor Moses

It's crazy really that we paid 50 million for Pedro and Cuadrado instead of just keeping him around. He def didn't improve due to the loans, he's always been a decent squad player. But for some reason Jose didn't want to bother with him. Played good every preseason, yet we go and buy Pedro and Cuadrado. While Conte, the guy who actually loved Cuadrado still kept Moses around because he deserved it.
  19. 3. Marcos Alonso

Both goals came from his side, and he had a major part in conceding them as well Gave the ball away for the first and for some stupid reason left Shinji in the box and ran out leaving Shinji wide open. There were some positives, but if Ivanovic had made those mistakes, 80% of the forum would have had an anuerism. That said, I'd still rather play him. It was his first match and other than those 2 mistakes, he was solid everywhere.
  20. Nathaniel Chalobah

Great example if he makes it. Even more so than Loftus-Cheek. He actually went through the means that most of the academy will go through before making the first team squad. A lot of dedication, hard work and patience.
  21. Branislav Ivanovic

It was the wages more than the fee that was the concern. At least as per Jose.
  22. 12. Ruben Loftus-Cheek

He's always considered him a forward, ever since preseason and nothings happened to change that. He's not playing Cesc in the midfield, Ruben has no chance.
  23. 4. Andreas Christensen

As is tradition for Chelsea CBs.
  24. 9. Tammy Abraham

Yeah, don't think anyone expects him to keep this up. If you just want to see the types of finishes, he's capable of, you can check his highlights from the Chelsea youth games. He's definitely capable of more than just tap-ins. It's his all around game is what I'm looking to assess because that's what he needs make it at Chelsea. This is where Bamford was poor even though he was scoring a lot as well.
  25. 9. Tammy Abraham

Damn, they're going gaga over him. Would love to re-watch this match. Any chance there is a way to find this match for download?
