Champions League: Premier League hit by Uefa seed changeThe Premier League will have only one top-seeded club in next season's Champions League after Uefa introduced new regulations. For the 2015-16 campaign, the eight top seeds will be the champions from Europe's top seven leagues and the competition's holders. The change in rules should lead to more of Europe's major clubs meeting each other in the group stage. Previously teams were seeded by Uefa's rankings, based on results in Europe. That meant Chelsea and Arsenal were both in pot one for the group-stage draw at the start of the season. But, as there is no Premier League side left in this year's competition, only the English champions will be placed among the top seeds next season. Better be us :blue scalf:

As Chelsea fans reacted rather angrily to news that Frank Lampard would spend the rest of the season with Manchester City, it has been revealed that he is not on loan at all.It may seem to be a footballing case of splitting hairs given that New York City are owned by the same people who own Manchester City, but according to Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl a source from NYCFC told him that the player is not on loan with Manchester City and if you look at the statement put out by City (Manchester, not New York) you will see that they do not actually mention the word ‘loan’. Wahl tweeted: While Manchester City said Manchester City can confirm that it has extended Frank Lampard’s contract up to the end of Manchester City’s season, enabling his continued participation in both domestic and European campaigns.
