  1. Chelsea v Nottingham Forest

Dujon Sterling should be in the first team imo, especially as we're struggling for quality WB depth. His ceiling at WB is higher than that of Moses' or Alonso's. Also quite interesting that Ampadu is getting minutes already, looks like he's extremely highly rated.
  2. 9. Álvaro Morata

  3. Chelsea v Nottingham Forest

Play Fabregas, dude thrives in games like this.
  4. The English Football Thread

3 times over the limit apparently.
  5. The English Football Thread

It is. Martial, Rashford, Mkhi would all start here ahead of Willian/Pedro. Could even make a case for Mata tbh. Their attack in general is much better than ours (-Eden).
  6. Kurt Zouma

Zouma imo has the belief and work ethic to really work on making himself a good 3ATB defender. Unfortunately he can't really practice well enough at Stoke but after that injury, minutes are more important than anything, needs to get that feel of the game back.
  7. 10. Eden Hazard

No idea why the club doesn't use him as our main PR/marketing player.
  8. 24. Gary Cahill

Jesus and Aguero would cause Cahill lots of trouble with their athleticism and off the ball work, Rudiger does make more sense to help out that back three for sure. Also hoping it's Azpi AC Rudiger but you and I both know Cahill will probably start.
  9. Ruben Loftus-Cheek

As long as Ruben plays lots - which I think he needs more than a manager that's trying to mould him - he'll be fine for this season at Palace. He just needs game time most importantly.
  10. Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Super first half, but again petered out in the second. Really still needs to work on his stamina and general influence on the game. If he can produce that first half over 90 minutes he'll have a good career.
  11. Tammy Abraham

Spot on, it's a very important attribute for a striker to have - does he keep the defenders on their toes? Is he a presence? Tammy's already got that in the locker, now needs to continue to refine his game and make an impact on the league. He'll get better as the season progresses for sure. God bless Paul Clement, honestly.
  12. 27. Andreas Christensen

    Here's your chance lad.
  13. 24. Gary Cahill

Yeah, same, but I do believe in Andreas' talent and no better stage to showcase it than Man City. Hope he has a really good game because he is surely capable of it.
  14. Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

The info graph is interesting. Why did Conte match up Kante vs Xhaka and Fabregas vs Ramsey? Seems suicidal. Maybe would make sense if we pressed Arsenal high but we didn't really...
  15. Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

I would've said the same if we had a better transfer window addressing our weakness at WB and another one which is becoming more so apparent every game - wide forwards. Apart from Hazard, I don't think it's good enough tbh. Pedro is getting old so we can't rely on him too much. Willian is always upgradable, and should not be starting. Our squad doesn't have that extra oomph it needs imo. Loss of Costa will become more apparent, just hoping Alvaro steps up to it. Baka has done well in the limited time he's been given but I feel like when he does get those minutes we shouldn't be expecting top top performances every game. City and United always had the better squad and they've adequately addressed most of their weaknesses. We've only addressed one of ours really (CM). Still need to improve our wing backs and also get in real extra quality to help Hazard and Morata. It'd be another Conte miracle if we won the league, honestly. Maybe it's just a case of grass is greener, but don't really expect us to seriously challenge till the end of the season for the league this time around tbh.
  16. 24. Gary Cahill

CB is the best area of our squad, if we had the squad of say last year I'd be extremely annoyed at Luiz but I'm just excited that Christensen gets a go now.
  17. 9. Álvaro Morata

Going to be a long season if neither of our CF's can make a serious impression. I think he did ok today with almost no service but he to bulk up from now till Christmas to become a presence long term. We don't have the luxury of bedding in strikers. I've accepted that the club aren't too serious about challenging for trophies this year tbh. We don't have that luxury but it is what it is. Just hoping Morata can have a decent return either way this season - but I truly believe we'll properly see what he's made of next year.
  18. Romelu Lukaku

Has made a very very good start to the season, can see him scoring 30-40 in all competitions honestly.
  19. 9. Álvaro Morata

Like I said, he needs a season to truly get a feel for the physicality in the PL. Especially in our system team, our striker needs to be physical, needs to have a presence somewhat to be successful consistently. Not expecting big things from him this season tbh, but he's open to prove me wrong of course. Truly judge him next season.
  20. 11. Pedro Rodríguez

Picking up injuries really easily now. Getting old. We really need to upgrade our RFs.
  21. 14. Tiemoue Bakayoko

And again. Can't wait for a fully fit, on form Bakayoko. He'll help tons in the bigger games games as he showed today. Anyone got a video/gif of his fantastic run?
  22. 30. David Luiz

This is what real squad quality gives you - CB one of the few areas in our squad that's truly complete. Christensen calmly steps in for Luiz. Would love to see a back three of Azpi Christensen Rudiger against City but of course we won't ever drop captain fantastic.
  23. The Conte Thread

Yep, also felt he could've set the team up a little better today.
  24. Gelson Martins

  25. Serge Aurier

Basically. My point is, how can you say he was bad when most Spurs fans are raving about his performance? Also, we can't compare Warabag with Dortmund can we?
