  1. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

I don't see why Chelsea would sack Sarri, i have concerns but he met his goals. I think it is more likely Sarri leaves Chelsea than he get sacked.
  2. 7. N'Golo Kante

Honestly is it a bad idea to sell him, if offered the right money? Lets be honest we are not competing for PL and CL in the next two years, we are quite bit off of City and Pool, and even more so with the loss of our best player Hazard. There is also the the transfer ban, which will limit us closing the gap. regardless if we freeze it now or serve it in 2020. One way or another this is problematic in the future, we will need significant investment to catch up with them. Kante is at the prime of his career, and the style we are pursuing right now he is not much of a different maker. Personally would take the Hazard and Kante money and aggressively rebuild around young players.
  3. 7. N'Golo Kante

Sell Kante, and buy Ndombele and Aouar. We better off?
  4. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Personally rate Allegri higher than Conte, mainly due to the fact he is a bit more proactive and not the coward Conte is. Conte is the better team builder though. I think Allegri would be good fit at PSG, and i would take Tuchel at Chelsea. That would be a good scenario.
  5. Luka Jović

What is going on with Timo Werner?
  6. 12. Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Buy someone obviously, i am quite bearish on Mason Mount honestly. Not impressed by his overall skillset. Kovacic and Barkley are not going to cut it, they were not good enough this season, and more will be expected of them without Hazard next season.
  7. 28. César Azpilicueta

Sarri will fail undoubtedly fail if he persists with Azpi at RB. Can’t expect to be a strong possession football team, when your FB can’t handle the slightest press.
  8. Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Even on a off night, RLC looked a class above everyone else. Thought most good things came off of him.
  9. Leicester 0-0 Chelsea

Glad to see Sarri experimenting with Azpi at CB, think this is his best position in this system.
  10. Chelsea 3-0 Watford

Along with getting CL football, RLC has been the best thing about this season. Next season will tell us a lot about what kinda player RLC can become, barring injuries of course. Today game was a complete performance; doing the dirty work defensively, superb in the buildup, and scoring a goal.
  11. Chelsea 3-0 Watford

Tony Gale is a huge RLC fan, i remember he was consistently praising him when he was at Crystal Palace.

    https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2019/5/4/18529316/chelsea-continuing-to-monitor-tuchel-as-psg-chase-mourinho-reports That would be ideal.
  13. 22. Christian Pulisic

Elite speed/acceleration like that cannot be taught, while being very good technically.
  14. 4. Andreas Christensen

AC biggest weakness is physicality, yes he needs gain some weight. But another big issue is the lack game time, no training sessions will get a player ready for the physicality of a PL game. AC has done a lot of good things this season, 1-2 games should not change that.
  15. 12. Ruben Loftus-Cheek

  16. Chelsea Kits thread

I think this is one of the best design of our socks, it fits with the rest of the kit.
  17. Chelsea Kits thread

Completely fair, i know i am in the minority. Just something i have never liked. Always a fan of the yellow kit in general, it needs to be prominent every year.
  18. Chelsea Kits thread

That would be interesting to see us ditch the white socks for blue socks as the default home uniform. Personally have never been fan of our white socks don't think they have ever been a good match, although the 2013/2014 socks were quite good because it had blue more represented.
  19. Next Manager?

No you don't have to, the issue with Sarri possession football it is it lacks the free flowing and situational movements. His style is rigid and mechanical. On the other hand most well known attacking football managers like Pep is the opposite. I recall KDB saying in his first year under Pep, they hardly stayed in one formation, they spent the majority of training moving from one formation to another. Key being giving the player freedom and use their intelligence, to recognize situations and exploit areas. Not saying Sarri style will never be successful, but i am very uneasy about its rigidness and the way it shackle some players.
  20. Chelsea 2-2 Burnley

Higuain is past it, and the EPL is no league for old men.
  21. Slavia Prague 0-1 Chelsea

Watching Alonso makes me feel sorry that Luiz had to play next to him all season.
  22. Slavia Prague 0-1 Chelsea

my gawd this team is terrible, and to think many of them have been a regular this season.
  23. 5. Jorginho

Also another big factor imo, is City is actually really good in attack while we are setup for attacking style but we are failing in that department. In this type of style your best defense is your offense, teams are scared to attack City and for good reasons they are the best goal scoring side in the league and arguably the best in all of Europe. On the other hand we are the worst side in goals forced in the top 6. Teams are much more willing and aggressive in facing us, the majority of teams do not respect our attack. It is a terrible combo to play open while struggling to score goals.
  24. 5. Jorginho

It will be interesting to see if teams will play the diamond formation and man mark Jorginho with RLC and CHO on the team. Because those two create a lot of dilemma if they set up like that. CHO ability to create width really makes it troublesome for teams trying to play narrow. Kovacic and Barkley had incredible amount of space when teams tried to man mark Jorginho, they couldn't capitalize on the oppertunity. RLC is incredibly dangerous when giving space to run into. Not as cut and dry anymore for the opposition. Stop Jorginho, stop Chelsea.
  25. Danny Drinkwater

Well at least he didn’t kill anyone.
