I'd say the Everton game reflected more on how poor our players are ability wise vs Sarri's style.

Sarri starts Alonso then no mercy if we lose and Alonso is to blame again. He's already been solely at fault for so many goals this season that he shouldn't be anywhere near the XI. Just like Everton.
Come the end of May we will come back here and reflect on what happened.

Player power + Board incompetence is what has led this club to absolute mediocrity.
We are on course for to miss out on Champions League football for the 3rd time in 4 years, despite being one of the highest spenders in world football. That is utterly embarrassing. It's been 3 years, and the fact Alonso is still our starting LB, Pedro and Willian have still not been upgraded on, and no top striker, are the main factors as to why we do so poor in the league. The fact the club prefers them over elite coaches, perfectly reflects our league position.

His goal scoring record as a traditional fullback is pure shit
subtract out 2016-18, when he was a wingback
and he has 10 top flight goals in around 17,000 total minutes, all comps in his career, and I am sure some of those minutes were as a wingback too
that is one goal ever 1700 minutes, or to put it another way, one goal every 19 full games
many of those against shit teams
this year he has 1 league goal and one goal in the EL, (versus the horrifically shit Dynamo Kiev) in 3000 plus minutes
almost all his his assists came from beginning of August 2018 to September 1st, 2018, plus one on November 4th, 2018 v Palace
He has ZERO league assists since then, in over 4 and a half months
he has the worst accurate crossing percentage of any full-time player with 50 or more crosses in Europe's Big Five leagues, at around 9.9% (even the inept Moses, for comparison, had 21%)
he is also basically worthless on defence, as even 32yo, 33yo wingers and forwards can ofttimes blow past him due to his insane lack of pace
he offers nothing of value to a back 4 team trying to win trophies and/or at least qualify for the CL

Here is an article that should destroy all credibility of those pushing for Alonso over even Emerson (who isn't even a great player at all) especially this ridiculous notion I see the Alonso fanboys/girls toss out that Emerson is so much worse at defence, which is just ridiculous
AND it even analyses Alonso in on of his two great wingback years and Emerson still trumps him in most categories
How do Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri compare statistically?'
    https://footballbh.net/2019/03/06/marcos-alonso-emerson-palmieri-chelsea-tactical-analysis-statistics/
    snip
    Conclusion
As is evident from the statistics and the tactical analysis, Palmieri beats Alonso in almost all metrics. That is not to say that Palmieri is one of the best left-backs, but his services greatly improve Chelsea’s attempt at transitioning and reforming under Sarri. It seems like the fans are right, once again. With the danger of slipping outside of the top four breathing down his neck, Sarri needs to churn out wins. Anything else will guarantee that Chelsea do not play in the Champions League next season.
With both Arsenal and United picking up steam, Chelsea need to be pitch-perfect. For any club, the fans are the ones who stand by it and help it. They determine the resilience and identity of the club. With a crucial time ahead for Chelsea, the fans are standing strong and helping. For a club which has consistently overlooked its fans, its’ time that it listens to its fans’ voice. Now, more than ever, Chelsea and Sarri need to listen through the noise and pick out the signal.

    When Sarri gets the sack
the 2 main frauds, Alonso and Jorginho plus his fucking over CHO (especially IF he leaves) can be written on his tombstone of blue
    fucking fraud of a manager
    another board wonder-blunder

He would fit in well mate. Old time variety hall comedia/actorn even before my time! Cant find owt of him 'acting'

I agree mate. I've never met anyone who was self made that didn't bend as many rules as they could to breaking point. but maybe that says more about commercialism than peeps morals.
I thank Roman for what we have done together and would like to see him become more involved and back in the stands. But it might just be time to start fresh with EVERYTHING. From the top down. I'd like to see us goto someone who is already a large sports club owner with the experience of taking a broken club apart and rebuild them WHOEVER that may be!

Billionaire Abramovich dumps Russian assets in preparation for sanctions
The billionaire Roman Abramovich, who was blacklisted by the US in April last year, had his British visa revoked and was forced to acquire an Israeli passport in the summer, has systematically been selling off his Russian assets.
On 7 March, Abramovich, the 11th wealthiest person in Russia with $10.8 billion, sold the Russian bank VTB his 20% share in Channel One that he had owned since the early 2000s, after acquiring a package of shares from Boris Berezovsky.
One week later, on 13 March, Abramovich’s Crispian Investments fund disposed of 2.7 million shares of Nornickel – 1.7% of the company’s capital. The deal was done through an accelerated collection of bids, and the securities were dumped on the market at a 7.5% discount to the market price.
Another five days later, on Monday 18 March, it was learned that Abramovich had decided to sell 0.8% of his primary asset – the metallurgical and mining company Evraz.
Abramovich’s offshore fund Greenleas International Holdings Ltd., Alexander Abramov’s Abiglaze Ltd., Alexander Frolov’s Crosland Global Ltd. and Toshi Holdings Ltd. announced on the London Stock Exchange website that they intend to sell 25.4 million Evraz shares (1.8%).
Abramovich’s company will account for 42.25% of the shares being sold. As with Nornickel, the deal will take place through an accelerated collection of bids. The placement will be organized by Citigroup Global Markets Ltd., Credit Suisse Securities and UBS Europe. The sellers must undertake not to sell any more Evraz shares for 60 days after the deal. At present, Abramovich holds 30.5% of Evraz shares, Abramovich holds 20.69% and Frolov has 10.33%.
It is possible that the billionaire is preparing for US sanctions by getting rid of assets linked to the Kremlin (e.g. Channel One). Abramovich may also be trying to withdraw from his position as a major stakeholder in Evraz, an analyst from a major rating agency believes. However, it is not impossible that the oligarch has simply decided to cash out on shares while Evraz’s results are good and there is a large demand for its stocks, he notes. On the other hand, the three consecutive deals to sell Russian assets do not make this option likely.
The hard cash at Abramovich’s disposal is needed by the Kremlin. RBC reported in December that the president’s administration has considered the billionaire and Evraz as a source of funding for the construction of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed railway. His funds will be used to fill in the financing gap for the railway project, which has been rejected by Chinese investors twice in the last three years.
Russian Railways estimates that the project will cost 1.7 trillion rubles. The government is prepared to provide 700 billion from the federal budget, but around 1 trillion rubles ($15 billion) will need to come from other financing sources.

  7. Unionjack liked a post in a topic by manpe in Roman Abramovich
Strange question. Not a single person greedy enough to own billions can be trusted. I don't believe there is a single billionaire in world history who is honest and hasn't broken any laws.

Welcome @PaulineSinclair ! The bluer the forum, the merrier  Some excellent choices of yours there. For me Frank Lampard is the GOAT, absolutely loved the man (and wish City-gate didn't happen). Him scoring a penalty against Liverpool right after his mother died is my favourite memory of him, I cried like a bitch. John Terry too, miss them both tremendously. They are who got me into Chelsea and are the reason why I didn't become a glory hunter, but have stuck through and will keep on sticking through tough times. Current favourite player? Has to be Drinkwater - he's not done anything wrong this season.

Blinding night bud. You'd have loved it. Got in at 7;30. Had to decide whether to carry on in the mood or crash out and sleep.
But it's Paddys day and the match is on so the decisions made for me lol

we all knew exactly what we were getting and what to expect long before Sarri came.
NOTHING he has done up to now should come as any surprise to any of us.
I'm still up for backing him 100% but with no transfer windows and the lack of support from the board in the winter I can't see it happening any time soon.
I still blame our players to a large extent for the shite we are in. Not only are they not right for this type of football but our attitude, commitment, attitude, urgency is piss poor for many many games.
I'm not saying that Ive agreed with all that Sarris done cause Ive shouted ny fool head off at some of his decisions in team selections/subs.
But Ive decided that me bitching and whining only effects my moods and doesn't make a bit of fuckin difference even if the board did give a shit what we thought. So I'm just going to TRY to SUPPORT  us even if next season we will be full of loanees amd 30+'s
Perhaps the board is just SHITE in general.
They are fuckin useless at supporting managers of late. If they had backed Conte we wouldn't have been moaning about Sarri.
And if they had backed Sarri we wouldn't be moaning about our next manager to go thru the revolving managers doors

I am a firm believer in positive thoughts mate.
The more positive you are, the more you THINK you are, the more you become it.
If you think gloomy, you worry about what has not happened when you think about all the bad things in your life etc etc it  gets your brain into thinking in ome way. All to do with neuron connectors and burned meural pathways
The more positive you are the more that gets rid of cortisol, so the more it creates serotonin/ dopamine thus making you happier.

But as for being able to think something and be able to attract them then religion has been trying that in the form of prayer for thousands of years unsuccessfully.
But look what your brain can do. Let you go thru medical operations without pain killers or anesthesia.

Anyone thats been to Goa knows what the part scene is like there (the full moon parties are 4 nights and 4 days but they dont need an excuse as every day is a party day) and theres a wide variety of mood enhancers with most peeps like having a concoction of things..
Apart from all the dealers theres 2 very friendly chemists shops about 20 miles from Anjuna tat if you know them you can order whatever you want.
I know someone who would get a load of empty 20mg caps, 50g of pure MDMA powder a bottle of Ket and a 50ml bottle of Sid. And fill the caps with a cocktail. They emded up beimg called London Boys lol But the cops got too expensive.
But the purity there - and whenever Ive neen to Thailand is always very pure. The pills might get different stamps but the same strength. Goes the same for the Acid. Anyone with any street sense gets a bottle of liquid and a dropper. Or a sheet of blotters. Theres not normally many microdots anymore. But the blotters that are the ones with the best rep are Hoffmans. Been around there over 30 years.  ALL the gear you can think of is very cheap there apart from marching powder whish is more expensive than here. And the same nationalities still run the same businesses. Tho the Red Rupee (the Russian money) has certainly made a big impact on the tourist trade with the building of big hotels etc its not the laid back hippy, party capital any more.
But they do have some amazing hash and opium. Peeps make the trip up into the mountains and stay on a farm. Help the farmer bring in his crop amd make the end product and get paid in it. Then take it back south. Get the 1st Temple Balls or Gold Stamp Nepalese and you've done good.
I'm off there next Weds for 4 weeks, Looking forward to getting on my little boat and do some fishing.Hope the monkeys are well behaved the little sods!

Me gran was close with Neil Youngs folks so my grandad would go to Shitty games now n then. But only for the piss ups. He was more into rugby being a Taff.
Its weird how many don't seem to hold it against Lamps for wearing that disgusting blue shirt or slag Petr off for going native but yet we slag Greavsie off.
A hard choice as there was summet to argue for them all but had to go with the flow. The lads a proper Chels legend. I remember the cameras on him when he came out in a wheelchair 4 or 5 seasons back and he was crying when we were singing his name bless him.

It's a team effort from front to back and the sooner the players realise this the better. If they move to find space it will help all the other players in the network.
Standing still up front then moaning about creativity is stupid.
Props to Giroud- he is great at finding space, if he had more pace and better finishing he would be lethal.
Higs is also good at finding space has slightly better pace and great finishing
But we are lacking in this area

Love you Mrs!! Proper attitude to be in.
This might be the making of either Barkles or RLC.
They really need to start out on fire. Running and chasing everything.
And Sarri was dead right in his interview yesterday when he said our forwards need to start looking for spaces off the ball. They are bad at that.
