  1. Gonzalo Higuain

I misjudged those players then. But still I would like us to find smarter solutions when it's clear we cannot get our first priority.
  2. Gonzalo Higuain

Barcelona just signed Boateng. Before that they signed Vidal, and freaking Paulinho. Ok, Boa is for a backup, but Vidal and Paulinho are not so much. At least Vidal wasn't meant to be. Those are all low-risk businesses for positions they must cover, when clear option is not available or is too expensive... and some are complaining about Gonzalo Higuain. I was striving for those kind of deals for years. I am tired of overthinking every f**ing team position and then ending up with likes of Morata, when we could've gotten Džeko for example for short term at low cost, and buy Icardi when the time is right. We are putting our heads through the wall with perfect signings, when sometimes we actually just need good or very good ones. Really can't wait for it to be official.
  3. Gonzalo Higuain

It's funny, Milan paying 30 mils for Piatek, and we payed 35 for Drinks. If we were in for Piatek, sum would be at least 45...
  4. Arsenal - Chelsea

I still think we are one piece of puzzle away from being good enough. Just by playing very good central forward we would solve two problems - Hazard would be back at his position, and Willian or Pedro would be out of the squad. Also, Jorginho would immediately get one great passing option in Higuain. That guy was really good at two things - running through channels AND holding up the ball with back to goal. So that's what, 3 problems solved already? I bet players would be more motivated just by that change. Actually, I am more and more sure that not having good striker, and playing false 9, is harming our team really bad, mentally. You can see our best player really struggling. I mean, not just ours best player, one of the worlds' best players. And after that you see old Pedro, and Willian f*cking up other things... I would be motivated as hell if I was playing for CFC, but that's me, I love this club to bits. But they are not, and I can imagine what's like being in their shoes. I don't think that's ok, but I don't think it's un-fixable. They stopped believing, and one crazy big character, playing position we lack the most, could really shake this lot up. Gonzalo, hurry up.
  5. 5. Jorginho

Even his short passing was bad in Arsenal game, but they pressed like crayze - credit where it's due. But I don't think I could ever love him if he doesn't show very good long-passing ability. A think he is not offering enough currently. People are comparing him with Busquets - while he may not be great in long passing, too, I have a feeling that he is significantly better in defense and he has slightly better touch. Many players could be Jorginho-type players, it's just that teams rarely play with out-and-out/pure deep lying playmaker. They mostly play with some kind of Fernandinho - Brozović balanced type. From what I am seeing in last 2 months I don't think Jorginho is more useful than Brozović or Fernandinho. Hope Higuain will shake him up with his movement.
  6. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Sarri could have escape heavy criticism till this day. But start the same squad after THIS*, and play like shit - everyone will hate you in no time. Rightly so. * Arsenal defeat ** (posted it in wrong topic before)

  8. 5. Jorginho

Errrm, I think Jorginho aka deep lying playmaker should have those qualities...
  9. Gonzalo Higuain

I liked what we did last summer, and I like this too. Board is doing well since Sarri arrived.
  10. Gonzalo Higuain

He is on the bench for AC Milan, they are losing 1-0 currently...
  11. 5. Jorginho

I would really like someone who watched him more at Napoli to elaborate more about his long passing. It always seemed to me that he had very good long pass in him at Napoli. Also, both Fifa and PES are giving him 87 value for long pass, which is very good, I guess this must mean something?
  12. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Ok... while we may have more money to spend, Bayern is more attractive club these days. We are not in UCL that often, and even when we play in UCL we are not good. Also, some players like more to play in easier league, not to play 2 cups, having winter break, not being often kicked on the cold rainy night in Stoke, having more energy to win UCL, having winning league guaranteed...
  13. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Grass is always greener on the other side?
  14. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Point is - Bayern could buy some other great young player, it would be the same for them. We? We really f*cking need one academy product to succed. That's why we must keep him and give him proper chance. Not just for Odoi, we need to do that for all new Abrahams, Loftus-Cheeks, KDBs (even tho he was not from academy), Solankes, Chalobahs, Akes, Bogas etc. Them being excelent, very good or just good squad players. We must prove that kids HAVE future here, and no money can buy that. Don't. Do. It. Board.
  15. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Alonso is very average player who played one season under Conte beyond his level.
  16. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Just to state one fact - Leicester bullied US for Drinkwater, lol. Not other way around. Or rather - we bullied ourselves.
  17. Spurs 1-0 Chelsea

We all know that Willian is not good, Alonso too, and as of recent - we know Barkley is not first XI material, so that's not bothering me. What really bothers me the most is Jorginho's long passing. It really isn't good, for a while now.
  18. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Ok, don't want to be harsh on the kid... but we REALLY need homegrown players. And we REALLY need wingers. NOW. We must keep him, regardless of his wants, he must understand. Board, don't even think about it.
  19. General Transfer Talk

I'd take him on a 1.5 years contract, but wouldn't that leave Real without strikers?
  20. General Transfer Talk

Why is Benzema on SkyBet on 2/5 to join Chelsea?
  21. Hirving Lozano

It would be great in summer to have Hazard, Pulisic, Lozano and CHO. With Willian and Pedro leaving. But I doubt it. If Hazard leaves I would leave Willian or Pedro to be 4th choice. Usually I wouldn't be for this, I would rather buy central-forward, but he is good goal-scorer and I would be happy, I don't think we have so much choice.
  22. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Man just played 42 minutes* in Premier League, before he got out injured. We are not the best at giving kids the chance, but you can't say that there are NO trust from manager... and he is only 18 years old! * in before someone says Sarri only put him on because he had to - no he hadn't, Giroud was on bench, he could have changed injured Pedro for Giroud, and put Hazard on the wing
  23. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

With Willian and Pedro old and injured, with Giroud out, Morata being shit and with Sarri frequently playing with false 9 (which opens up one more wing position) it would be worth it for him to try and stay for another season, especially in next months. Look at RLC Callum, that can be you!
  24. Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

I agree with that. But it's not his fault. It's others' fault.
  25. Chelsea 0-0 Southampton

We are playing possession football for Barkley, Willian, Morata, and even Alonso to f*cking materialise on it. Point finger at them. People are actually not hating Jorginho, they are hating Sarri and his football.
