  1. 19. Mason Mount

It baffles me why Mount played instead of Pulisic and even more baffling how a majority here claim Pulisic is just as inexperienced - is the Championship better than Bundesliga? Pulisic has plenty of minutes in a top 4 league where he dominated at points. Besides Kante he is probably our best player.
  2. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

Lampard isn't ready yet and he will ruin his managerial career by coming here with the current group of players and a transfer ban. I'm afraid the only way we can achieve top 4 next season is with a Mourinho-esque masterclass... In my opinion, I see the two non-suicidal options being: 1. Transfer ban stays -> keep Sarri at all costs OR bring an a highly experienced manager e.g. Allegri 2. Transfer ban delayed -> Lampard can / should be considered.

    wooooo hooooo!!!!
  4. Chelsea 2-0 Spurs

Thought RLC played decent in his cameo - Would like to see him begin to start, especially against our upcoming opponents.
  5. 1. Kepa Arrizabalaga

Fair point but can't be certain it was tactical
  6. 1. Kepa Arrizabalaga

Being 23 y/o myself, I can understand his frustration at being taken off after playing for 120 mins - but still not the right choice. I think he should have walked over to the line and spoke with Sarri to tell him he was feeling fine, and then go from there. Agree that he should admit his mistake.
  7. Chelsea 3-0 Malmo

Azpilicueta has fallen off a cliff - no confidence with the ball at all now
  8. Chelsea 3-0 Malmo

    Dreadful
  9. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

I know this will get a lot of slack, but why does Zidane really need to know English well? Most of our players speak a first language other than English (most speak Spanish, or something similar to it...)
  10. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

It now makes sense why Azpi was never called up to start for the Spanish National Team - he has no clue with respect to attacking. If we had 2 modern, attacking FBs I think we would comfortably be in the top 4 even with Sarri's shit-ball tactics.
  11. Sarri But Not Sarri Thread

He will be sacked in the next 1-2 weeks for sure, but I don't see the point in waiting - just do it now. The sooner the better so we can start rebuilding and training with new tactics. Malmo is a good starting point as we can beat them with our C team. Trying a 4-2-3-1 against them would be nice...
  12. Malmo 1-2 Chelsea

Does anyone really care about the FA Cup? Top non-British footballers we could try to poach certainly don't. CL football next season or we're fucked.
  13. Malmo 1-2 Chelsea

Nothing to be happy or proud about - it was another dreadful performance. If we played like that against a mid-table premier league team we would have lost 2-0. Playing with confidence? hahahaha. Look, nothing will change this season. Sarri has a vision - fair, but we simply don't have the players for it. At least fucking adapt to what we have to salvage a top 4 finish. There's no March / April transfer window FFS. I would honestly play Zappacosta over Azpi at this moment in time; I've mentioned it a while ago, he has absolutely no idea how to attack. Once you pass him the ball, he either stops it and passes it backwards to trashmen pedro / willian (or Kante who can't attack either), or crosses it to the goalkeeper. Shambles. Overall, a very depressing last 4-5 days.
  14. I see lazazette also got a red at the end... LET'S GO BATE! lol
  15. Doesn't matter - Arsenal will still win at home, probably 3 or 4-0.
  16. 20. Callum Hudson-Odoi

Now I don't want to defend Willian as he's had a poor season, but to compare CHO's 2 assists today to Willian's since October is a bit unfair - this is the weakest opposition we've played all season. Had Willian started, there is a chance he would have dominated and made fools of the defenders. Aside from that, we really do need to keep CHO. If we end up keeping him, Bayern's interest was actually good in hindsight as it probably built up his confidence, and more importantly woke up the Board and coaching staff.
  17. Burnley 1-2 Chelsea

bakayoko has been absolutely disgraceful thus far :/
  18. 33. Emerson Palmieri

He won't be better than Alonso - simply a player to play at LWB when Alonso needs a rest.
  19. The Mourinho Thread

Id love mourinho going to a United side with no champions league, and so that he can ruin their team for the 2-3 years after 1 or 2 successful seasons.
  20. Eden Hazard

either way at best he'll be on the bench and maybe make an 80th min appearance - negligible.
  21. Oscar

    what about inflation?
  22. Radja Nainggolan

rather vidal over unproven naingolan if same price
  23. Thibaut Courtois

Not sure how reliable theweek is, but apparently barcelona are interested in Tibo.. would you guys want to see a Ter Stagen + cash for Tibo deal?
  24. The English Football Thread

This ticket price thing is funny to north americans... I understand EPL matches are more $ to watch than other top european leagues, but the absolute cheapest toronto maple leafs ticket is $50 (~25 quid) all the way at the top of the arena! The tickets within 10 rows of the ice go up to $600 (300 pound)! Also keep in mind the Leafs have been generally the worst performing team the past 10 years too...
