  1. 28. César Azpilicueta

I'm sorry but this forum became unreadable with this Vespa girl literally spamming every thread... You really need to take it down a notch. No one wants to read these scouting reports of yours in each and every thread on the forum.
  2. Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

I actually don't remember when Alonso was at fault for us conceding a goal, could someone refresh my memory so I would be able to understand why one of the best left backs in the EPL is constantly getting bashed here? Has his flaws, still is part of last season's team of the year and still is one of the most reliable players we have. He will be a starter and a deserved one at that.
  3. Disgraceful 'article'. Doesn't show this platform in the best light, to be honest, and it is not the first time.
  4. Mohamed Salah

Do you really have to ask? He is on a completely different level.

  6. Man Utd 2-1 Chelsea

Unbelievable it's 2018 and people still assess a footballing performance by possession stats...
  7. Watford 4-1 Chelsea

Actually if he played the whole 90 I believe we could have lost 4-1, I really do. They had enough chances in the first half hour with him on the pitch to make it 3-0, so I really believe we could.
  8. Watford 4-1 Chelsea

Mana definitely has a point. Maybe in hindsight I don't completely agree with that but yesterday I really didn't mind him getting that red card at that moment. Not just that he was useless (as always) in our build up play, he really sabotaged our game by gifting them clear chances. It's noticeable that the players don't pass him and ignore him on purpose when we attack, it's clear that he steps on Kante's toes when we defend. He spreads fear and insecurity throughout our back line and I really can't point out one good quality of his game. Wishing him to get a red card was not completely correct because we could bring someone instead of him, but because Conte would never replace him apparently, I would say that I prefer playing with ten men without him instead of eleven which include this awful fraud of a footballer.
  9. 33. Emerson Palmieri

This is not called "throwing light" on something. Throwing light is giving a professional and coherent interpretation of a players' attributes based on your opinion after you actually watched him play football. And yes, a full season as a starter for Roma is quite enough to obtain an opinion about a player. Clearly you never saw him in action so I'll just say - sometimes silence is golden. I haven't seen him play but after some intelligence work around Roma forums, they seem to be upset to lose him for such low price and they also say he is a very good prospect. Some even say he has world class potential. The general trend is that he is a very hard worker with some Brazilian flair on the side. I believe he will come good, just like other notable low profile defenders we brought in the last decade. Good luck Emerson!
  10. 3. Marcos Alonso

What are you even talking about? Alonso is a very good footballer, he was amazing for us last year and continues to provide the goods this term, even, if rightly so, he is a little bit burned out. The man is working his socks off every single game for the last year and can't even get the sheer acknowledgment for that from our fans. I have no idea what are your expactations from a left wing back but all in all I can assure you there are not many better than this guy. I am really not sure if your beloved Alex Sandro is better than him this season. Anyway, you don't need a world class player in every position and I think our LWB position is the least of our problems. Alonso needs rest and needs competition, but he is a good player and gets no recognition for his great service at this club, and really I'm quite tired of seeing people bashing him after every game (like really, what wrong did he do yesterday? he was slow?). Some of you here even try to take the credit off his goals because he is a wing back (?!)... Somehow only Chelsea fans see all these wrongs...
  11. Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal

I think Bakayoko needs a rest. Please?
  12. Alex Sandro

I mean really, who the fuck is this clown?! This is why I hate the transfer period, every smartass is shining and gets recognition...
  13. Romelu Lukaku

Are people really annoyed we couldn't get freakin Lukaku for 100 million pounds? You could mistake him for prime Ronaldo with the things I'm reading here... Embarrassment for the club? Get a grip. This could be a blessing in disguise.
  14. Nemanja Matic

Give the wiz a break, he is the literally funniest thing on here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRf_A07Elyw It will be really funny if he will turn out to be right about this haha...
  15. Romelu Lukaku

Admins, I saw you said that if we disagree with someone we need to debate it out but this post is absolutely preposterous... Can you really debate a person that writes shit like this? He literally downgrades and looks down on everyone who doesn't agree with him. I am really interested to know how old this kid is. One think is sure - posts like this don't belong on a quality forum.
  16. Nemanja Matic

Oh my god, are you for real? I am starting to think you are not trolling... "when he marshalled our Midfield better than any Chelsea Player before him in History"... How deluded can you get... I mean, I like Matic but to say he is a football genius is an insult for the sport. And Nainggolan is less versatile than him LOL
  17. The English Football Thread

I really hope that if the gap will be down to just one point (which can happen), we will react the same way we did in our last defeats. I am pretty sure Conte will play firstly not to lose against Everton because we just can't afford it, psychologically wise. The other games we can win. Surely no Fabregas this time and maybe even Willian for Pedro to help the defence. This is a huge game, probably the biggest we have left. Win this and we are champions I think.
  18. The Conte Thread

We can and should criticize Conte for yesterday but we also need to look at things in perspective. He is the best thing that happened to this club since we signed Hazard, we need to be thankful and remember that at the start of the season you wouldn't dream of this position we are in. This season is a big success on our behalf and even if we flunk the title (which will be very painful of course) it will not be the end of the world, I think next season we will be much better anyway. That said, I don't really think we will collapse from yesterday's loss. This Conte team is reacting well to defeats and we have seen it several times this season, also, we basically win the games we should so you kind of know what to expect. No need to panic, not yet at least.
  19. Cesc Fàbregas

Actually, after another so so attempt by Cesc to deliver a free kick yesterday, I remembered Frank Lampard. With all the traptechniek discussion above, I can't reminisce over this player, one of the best midfielders of his generation. Had it all.
  20. Diego Costa

Can't understand what's all the fuss about, and I really don't see a point comparing goal records with the likes of Lukaku and Kane (a discussion that went on here a few pages ago). You need to understand that it's very different playing for Everton or Spurs compared to being the leading striker of a team like Chelsea. So maybe Costa isn't playing like Sanchez or Kane, but if he scores 20 goals or so in a season and it helps us to a title (which we already know is sufficient) then I don't care if he is not in the top five of the leading goalscorers in the league. Don't know how about you, but I've been craving for such a consistent striker after the downfall of Drogba which was not long after the Double. I think we need to be very happy that we have him and we shouldn't look at the neighbour's lawn and wonder if it is indeed greener. He is playing like a non league striker for the last 3 months and we still have a 10 points lead and we are in the semi final of the FA cup. I really can't see how people compare him with Torres or Shevchenko. I would love to have someone like Aguero/Sanchez/Lewa up front instead of him but I really can't see it happening any time soon. For now, I am actually pretty OK with having him as our leading striker, but I do agree he is not good enough for us to become world beaters. Anyhow, I will love having a season like this one every term, even if we are not THE best.
  21. Eden Hazard

I agree with you partly but if you are referring to me with the second part of the post then you probably didn't read mine. I said it was a problem because some people are portraying Hazard as a world-class, elite and complete player, and for me, if he will continue to score 10-15 goals in a season and won't carry us in the CL, well, then he will never be this kind of player. I'm not saying that what he brings to our game is questionable, I'm saying that if he wants to be the best, this is not enough. I'm not putting him in bad light, just pointing out the truth. You need to understand the difference, I really can't emphasize it enough. I watched Hazard play football for the last 4 years and I have never seen him been so direct as Neymar was in that game (maybe except the second half against Spurs last year when he came on with fire in his eyes). Overall, the Brazilian had a really scrubby game up until the last minutes, but who will remember that? But if Eden has a quiet game you will probably forget he is on the pitch until the final whistle, that is the difference.
  22. Eden Hazard

I don't like comparing players but ability wise, I would say that maybe the only one who is better than Hazard in the world is Messi. But the thing is that Hazard's problem is that he is not a direct player. He's a world class dribbler and he almost never loses the ball, but that's because he doesn't take risks, he only shoots when he has a 90% chance to score, he would have never crossed the ball like Neymar did yesterday for the 6th goal, he would just pass it to Moses to retain possession. I love watching him play and I really think we are lucky to have such an amazing and talented footballer, but if you ask me, I would prefer someone like Bale or Neymar - Players with "chutzpah".
  23. Victor Moses

What the hell are you talking about? He was not bad at all yesterday, actually, he had a better game than the likes of Hazard and Costa. Can't understand the criticism he is given, maybe he is not the best player in the world but his work rate and desire are sublime, and even though he cost us against Spurs as some of you mentioned (maybe the only game he actually costed us points), don't forget who scored the winning goal against them at the bridge and who is responsible for so many good results this season. I really like Moses, it's players like him, Alonso, Azpilicueta and Kante we should be thanking for this season, the engines of the team, the ones who are not equipped with the best technical attributes, but make this formation possible for us to play. I can say another thing - don't think he is going to be substituted that quickly next season also. I don't know many players who can come in this side and offer something superior to what he has shown this season.
  24. Branislav Ivanovic

I really hope the fans are not forgetting what this man did for the club just because he had one bad season (just like every other player by the way...). On his day he was the best in the league and undoubtedly one of the best RB's in the world for a long long time. Personally, I love him as a player, as a person and as a leader and club legend that he is. I hope he will enjoy his football in his last years, Zenit is a great club and St. Petersbourg is one of the nicest cities in the world. Will never forget this player that's for sure.
  25. The Mourinho Thread

This year I realised one important thing - we will never conquer the world with Jose Mourinho. In order to be the best there is we have do be a dominant side, we can't rely on Jose's counter attacking / defensive tactics and modern football will agree with me. Ten years ago teams just didn't know how to handle it, nowdays it seems we don't know either. In this second Mourinho spell all I hoped for is that he will be able to transform us to this kind of team, a team that plays a fluent, attacking and entertaining football, a team that dominates each opposition and a team that its home is no less than a fortress. It really looked like we were going the right way at first, 2013/14 was a rebuilding season and we progressed as the season went. We reached our peak in the middle of 2014/15 and in this point I thought we were on the right track to the very top of world football... But the critics were right, the speculations aboud Mou's second and third seasons turned out to be true and who knows, maybe he could of changed things if he had been given the time, but I don't think any club in any situation similar to ours would have kept him. Nothing can justify our situation and even if the manager is not completely at fault, it is absolutely clear that he is no martyr. Maybe all of this is for the best, maybe we can finally let go of the Jose Mourinho cloud that hung over this club for the past decade. Every manager that came here tried to justify the fact that Mourinho was sacked in 2007, maybe his second coming and PL trophy are a closure for him in the history of this club. I can't be happy with letting him go, he is a legend in this club and always will be remembered as such. I wish him all the best in the future and hope he knows how much the Chelsea fans love him. I won't celebrate it and I won't cry, what needed to be done is done now, c'est la vie, Jose Mourinho - the special one.
