He wanted a 3 year contract. We offered 2. Of course he will walk away. Arsenal is going to give it to him.

To be fair, too early to say that. Maybe to date yes, but next season even though we can't see it, he still can turn it around.
However, no doubt this is the IMO the worst ever season since I supported Chelsea. Yes, I know 15/16 we finished 10th and that was my worst until today, but the only bad record that 15/16 holds now is worst points total. Every other bad record has been passed or equalled by this season.
Most losses, worst results, more goals conceded...
    W-L-W-L-L. 12 goals conceded, 1 clean sheet.
That is our final run-in for our season. Even though we got top 4, this has been such a disappointing end to a season I've ever come across.

Regards to EL, I agree that even if Wolves win the Europa League that shouldn’t impact the decision of PL’s manager of the season.
Other than that, if Wolves DID win it, they had a much better campaign than we did.

    Decisions comes with consequences.
Hazard chose to leave us. He could have been our next Terry, Cech, Lamps etc. spending all their good years in Chelsea. There were certain games this season showed that we missed Hazard.
Such a shame. It’s looking like a very poor end to his career. He may get some goals next season, but he won’t reach that PL legendary status he got with us in La Liga. He looked like a lost puppy all season. But hey, he got a La Liga title I guess.
Oh well, meh. I still don’t really care about Hazard in the end. He’s just another opposition player now to me. And right now, he’s bang average.
Also like Jason said. Pulisic wouldn’t have emerged if Hazard was still around. Don’t want him back here.

Well, I am super frustrated as well, so I understand you. After Anthony Taylor that corrupted waste of space, Lampard is probably most culpable for the team's failure. Still, I am gonna hold you to your word and here is why:
I am under no illusion that Lampard is probably not a manager who will be here for 10+ years and win multiple titles with us. In fact, after what I saw from our defense this season and his tactics in the cup final, I would be pleasantly surprised if we win a single title with him at all. Yet, I am not gonna blame him for having taken his dream job, even if it was way too early for him. If any, we should blame the board to make him a PR stunt to maintain fan support amidst the transfer ban and than uninspiring Sarri intermezzo.
Instead, I think we should just enjoy having a club legend being our manager and representing the club with dignity after all the crackheads. Even though I am not clinging to the romantic pipedream that he will win it all again with us as a manager, I am enjoying it while it lasts. So, I am not gonna try to stop other fans enjoying by constanlty and needlessly throwing him under the bus at every opportunity.
Last but not least, Lampard has become our coach in one of the most difficult periods in the Roman era. Thanks to the boards incompetence, the squad is a bloated mess with no leaders and full of bang average over the hill players mixed with inexperienced prospects and injury-prone players. This squad is competing against pool and shitty's best ever squads in their prime. Realistically we can not be expected to win titles in the coming years. Still, Lampard has made an invaluable contribution already. By securing long-term deals for our best prospects and swaying young quality in Werner and soon Havertz he is setting us up for the future. A title-laden future that will probably be one without him as our coach but surely this contribution is more important than top4 with a bad or mediocre defense and a few points more or less.

It's upsetting for those who lost their jobs, but it's not our problem. Get rid of this bang average player.
It's been at least 3 years since I wanted him gone. Next to top 4 and Werner this is the next best thing this summer for me...

Yes, Jokanovic got promoted twice. With Watford and Fulham and now Parker. Lamps got job because of his status and he has special treatment so no surprise he practice the same with his players.

This needs to be pointed out. Over and over again. He is not a fantastic player everyone thinks he is.
Just because he's Brazilian doesn't mean he's good. He's a poor-to-bang average player who constantly gets in the starting XI...with one or two small spells.

It’s Lampard’s fault the media and AFTV are going gaga over the so-called Arteta masterclass.
I am really tired of the same old naive things Lampard has done all season. Glad this season is over and at least we got top 4.
I am not even going to bother watching the 2nd leg next week, that tie is done especially the way we are defending and no Pulisic.
He has until January to sort this out. If same old, I’ll be fully Lampsout.
It is scary that you have been outwitted by Arteta (and let’s be real - also at the Emirates and SB) and did not open your eyes on how to change the system. 3-4-3 doesn’t work with Arsenal, never has bar Conte and never will. STOP IT.
Tomo also pointed out something that also worried me. Since the lockdown, we are doing the same thing we are doing with Sarri with Hazard, “give the ball to Pulisic and hope he makes something happen”.
That has GOT to stop. Yes we have at least Ziyech and Werner in next week, but I want actual team goals not another “give the ball to x”.
And the defense. I know I have been going on and on about it for months, but damn. Yesterday just adds to why we need a better defense.
After Havertz, we have to someway get the message to the board that our defense needs urgent surgery.
You can buy all these attacking players but we will struggle to finish 4th again next season if we go in to next season with that defense. I’ll never forgive that defense after what I saw with West Ham and Sheffield United.
The attack could score 2 goals but the defense has the character to concede 3 as proven many times this season.
There will be many stubborn opposition defenses we will tackle next season (like Arsenal), and we can’t be going in to every game scoring 3 goals a pop. That won’t happen.
This current defense is going to kill us next season if nothing has changed and it will kill any optimism for next season.

Don't worry. Next season, as long we upgrade our CB, LB and GK, we will beat Arsenal every time.

I'm just glad we got that top 4 spot. This FA Cup is a bonus and if Lampard snags this trophy then he has really overachieved.
Even after some of the most horrid performances I've seen in my lifetime this season, he still managed to pull all of this off.
