TalkChelsea Terms & Rules
TalkChelsea is a football forum for fans, made by fans. The Administrators have previously taken a lenient stance towards behaviour on the forum, but a lack of consistency in dealing with persistent offenders has caused for a tighter set of rules to be created.
Illegal Material
Do NOT post illegal material, be it warez, pornographical images, racial material, or anything otherwise discriminating or illegal at TalkChelsea. We have a very low tolerance level for illegal topics as we'd be the ones paying to fix things. Any topics created that break this rule will be deleted and the member will be monitored
for a period of time. Please note Standard English is expected of all members. See "International Posters" below for more information.
"Txt-tlk"
Text-talk; posting in a way which you would send a text message, is not tolerated. There is no limit of the number of characters used in a post, so don't try to limit the typing as you would in a text message. Persistant offenders will be
punished.
Posting of SPAM messages
- Simply don't do it! They will be deleted, and staff may take further action if deemed necessary.
SPAM = Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. This can cover messages without any real meaning, i.e. haha.Posts advertising external sites are also deemed SPAM by the staff.
This will not, under any circumstances, be tolerated. If you want to become an affiliate of TC, please contact an administrator by PM. We will not tolerate members posting links to any forums; football or not. Please, when posting a news story from an official source, quote the site, but do not give a link only without explanation.
If you want to advertise another football site then please contact an
administrator by PM first and ask or you might find your thread getting deleted.
Multiple Accounts
Any member found to have more than one account at TC will have all their accounts suspended. If you create a new account having recently returned (except from a ban) and not knowing your own account details, please contact an administrator immediately so we don't suspend your account.
International Posters
Chelsea Football Club is an internationally-supported football club, and there are many members on TalkChelsea who hail from different areas of the globe. For this reason, the English of some posters may not be to the same standard across the forums. We request that members respect the posts of foreign members, and should only help them improve their English. Anybody caught abusing members and discriminating against them because of their ability to speak English will be dealt with by the forum Administrators. Chelsea are a global brand and no individual should have their English-speaking ability criticised by members of this forum. Remember that these people are not speaking their native language - and please respect that fact.
Furthermore, some members have in the past written messages in their native tongue, such as Dutch or Russian. If you do this, please post a basic English translation for the benefit of all users, as Standard English is expected in all posts. Failure to do this will result in a request from the staff to translate these messages.
Use of foul/abusive language
We accept that swearing is becoming more widely used in the outside world, and we have a fair tolerance of foul language. However, we don't accept any members abusing others. Excessive use of meaningless foul language will lead to punishment. Age of members Members of any age are allowed to use TC. Please bare this in mind.
Forum Graphics
Avatars and signatures are restricted to Chelsea and football images only. Offensive or non-appropriate images shall be deleted. If you are unsure if your image is appropriate, please contact a member of the admin team.
Double Posting
We have a system that means you can edit posts. Please do not post twice in the same topic without reply, or post two replies in a row. There is no time limit on editing, so please use the function. Double posts will be merged, and persistant breaking of this rule will lead to warnings. Posting of images Do not post images of an inappropriate nature on TC. Pornographic or inappropriate images will be deleted, and the user dealt with.
"Gossip Talk"
We all know newspapers carry some odd stories. Please do not post topics regarding specific players' allegations, such as sexuality, breaking of the law etc. Whether these stories are true or not, players can sue talkchelsea for damaging their reputation by UK law. This would almost certainly mean the end of TC. Copyrighted Material Where material, such as images or news articles, are posted on TC, please either link to the original source and comment, or quote the article/image in [quote] tags and state clearly the source.

TalkChelsea accepts no responsibility for the content posted on this site. Messages are regularly checked by the staff team, and inappropriate content is deleted. TalkChelsea can not guarantee inappropriate material is deleted within 24 hours, especially in busy periods.
