  1. Past hour
  2. sure, puting Gallagher on wing, playing Madueke, puting Disasi on Doku, all great calls. Jackson sucks, but people defending Poch all season baffles me.
  3. Jackson needs to put away his chances first before thinking of taking penalties off of our chosen taker.
  4. Today
  5. Poch talks a good game, very light on delivering.
  6. Yesterday
  7. Definitely, but that has been the case all season eh. For the Arsenal match, I would definitely use Casadei and then introduce Carney during the game. May need to have minutes if Cole is out anyway. Poch will likely start Madueke to help D, but he might get tired chasing them in the second half. Wish Santos were available as well. Even Washington for a few minutes by the end if we are not chasing a result, or maybe even if we are. This would apply to the remaining game too; we need to know which of these players are employable for next season.
  8. Would be great if any of those players would be available. Both Ugo and Lavia are out for the season, that leaves Poch only can try Casadei there, or introduce Carney as 10.
  9. indeed. More so, we need to test some of these players to see how, and if, they can help out next season. It's great to give the "he's young" routine, but we need players ready to play for next season, and identifying who is who should be priority at this time.
  10. I'm not optimistic because they are better; it's OK to say that. They are a lot better and in case the eyeball check fails, the standings corroborate that notion. It's an away game, so that only makes things harder. Of course we can do that Fulham did, but that's the rare event (and quality to Fulham to consistently pulling upsets). Who knows, I suspect the strategy will be similar to City's, but Arsenal players will be fitter and motivated -- can't understand not admitting City players were a bit jaded after the 120 effort they put in not long before our match, which also caused them to lose their marquee signing for our clash. On the other hand, perhaps this is the time one of these counters connect and Jackson can get us the winner; stranger things have happened in football.
  11. More case not very good at scoring...they know they can't slip up and have something big to aim for soooo pressure is on. Hopefully can rise to the occasion but who knows with this lot.
  12. That's true but this time I'm not optimistic because it's a bad momentum for us after Saturday loss. Especially mentally.
  13. We always seem to put and get fairly decent results against the traditional Big 6 - so let’s have an open mind. Arsenal already slipped up a week ago who’s to say they don’t again.
  14. I’ve been calling for us to look at him as our striker since January.. He can flat out score has great hold up play and strength.
  15. Should shut him down for the rest of the season - let him have his surgery and comeback fresh for next year. We can easily cope with Conor playing beside Caicedo and bring Carney in as the 10 or Mudryk who plays better more centrally in the half spaces.
  16. Well we will find out if this team has it in them to step up when the talisman is out injured.
  17. The discussions around AI are IMO extremely premature. The problems discussed today are several decades in the future (maybe 100 years+?). The problems AI brings today, as in the immediate future, are the very same any automation produces: cheap (and not so cheap soon) jobs vanish at an alarming rate. And the liars on the right here blame immigration for that. The left ignores the problem, because it's a difficult one to tackle (esp politically). "Tony Stark : I'm gonna stop you right there, Scott. Are you seriously telling me that your plan to save the universe is based on "Back to the Future?" Who'd have thought Exterminator franchise causing long-term damage 😄 Go back and read the predictions on AI and Robotics from very smart sci-fi authors (I've read a bunch growing up), some were physicists too!, and how much they got wrong (almost all of it).
  18. people will rise up and kill the computer nerds who make this AI cringe
  19. WILL ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE REPLACE MAN ? I am convinced now that both Tories - Labour - Liberals - others are on their way out. The future is artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is wirh us for one century or more now, but in the form of master-slave configuration, Now it's time for artificial intelligence to do it's coming out. I believe that a few years from now artificial intelligence robots will rule. They will be saying to Sunak - Starmer and other such characters "pssst boy, go and get us the orange drinks". Eventually they will replace us of course. Their political system ? It's a question mark - they will decide. Why do you think you are different from artificial intelligence ? I remember in my first grade in primary school the teacher asked as to make an artificial satellite model using plasticine and toothpicks. Somehow I did n't get the idea properly. I made a rectangular shape and the toothpicks formed a grid inside the rectangular shape. But the idea was to make the plasticine into a ball and then just stick the toothpicks on it to look like antennas. The artificial satellites were all the rage at the time because the Soviets had launched the Sputnik with Laika into space. Now by the same token we may try to program a robot to go to the newsagent to buy the newspapers. The robot will stumble on the steps trying to exit the house and fall flat on its face. Terrible ! But on the second-third-fourth trial he is going to make it, bring the newspapers. So you see it's trial and error. The so called "preceived images" (I don't know how you might call it). It's the same as me giving you an exercise in trigonometry. What will happen ? One possibility is you saw this exact same thing before - you write down the answer. Another is you know zilch about trigonometry, you return a blank sheet of paper. But yet another is the "perceived images" will guide you towards the solution. Artificial intelligence already can do that - use "perceived images". So there can be no question about it. AI rules. Labour - Conservatives - all the rest are on their way out. But AI is destined to rule the configuration space as well.
  20. We could come to an arrangement with them and sell the game - this will also serve the purpose of making Pep and Klop very cross. Again we could not, If we approach the match with the same spirit as against City why not a win ? Is Palmer ok ?
  21. I honestly don't think he's a bad player -- hardly the problem with this squad. I like his skill on the ball, how quick he is on turns and runs, his quick feet, and the way he can hold to the football under pressure; the latter is a welcome surprise to me. On the other hand, he's not a good striker--at least not at this time. Every time we needed him to put the ball in the back of the net he has come short. Is this his fault? I'm honestly not sure he will ever get better at finishing -- his balance is always a bit off when about to apply the finish. However, I have to be consistent here and stick with my idea that the squad was ill conceived, and if we had the backup options needed, players would be able to rotate and get the minutes when they are in good form, not because there is no-one else available (which also happens in midfield and D). The attitude thing is a bit tricky. The PK fight was ugly, but that swag is typical of good attacking players, so I'd not focus too much on that.
  22. Not long until poch is booted out and we get back on the recovery trail
  23. Our record is crap. Last 10 league games has been 2 win...6 losses and 2 draws soooo expect a lose. Theyre going for the title and know what they have to do...
