Everyone needs vacation from time to time to recharge. Don't know if this is concerning but last summer he played U21 EURO and joined early after for pre season in USA. This summer he go to EURO and Olympics after and next summer we play Club World Cup. I put in his thread but many others as well will play EURO or Copa America this summer and we have that big tournament in USA next summer. Mudryk, Enzo, Gusto, Disasi, Badiashile, Ugo are eligible for Olympics.
-
what an amazing signing he turned out to be, great season so far, and we got him from City of all teams. This kid is definitely going far, if only he had a better team around him.

i keep thinking about that Sarri and Kepa debacle in the COC final in 2019, Azpi was awful as a captain that day, he did fuck all to solve the problem, Terry would never have allowed that shit to take place. I have a gut feeling if Caballero came on for Kepa we would have won the pen shootout.

I am not 100% sure but I think if we finish 7th we go to Conference League. If 5 go to CL 7th would bring us to EL.- 23,157 replies

I have a ticket for the FA Cup semi-final which I am looking to sell as I'm not able to go. It's a physical ticket in block 552. Bought through the club so in the Chelsea section. I paid £65 plus £9.25 postage but I'm only looking for the face value of the ticket. If anyone is interested please let me know and we'll arrange getting the ticket to you. (Ideal if you could pick it up since I can't walk which is why I'm not going but that depends where you are of course.)

Madueke is ultimate stat padder, will do nothing for months before scoring vs Norwich in the league cup. I’d sell him for £5m
-
There was no doubt who the designated penalty taker was in real pressure moments like the games against Man U and City.didnt see anyone fighting to take it off Palmer then.but padding their stats when already 4 nil up, oh they want to be "heroic" then..
-
You are absolutely right about the rebounds being a concern. It is similar to Courtois who also used to parry balls straight back into the danger zone earlier in his career. But i do believe this can be ironed out here too. It is more difficult for guys like Kepa or Piggie who just have weak wrists and short reach they will just let in some balls mamar easily rebounds and they will never be able to improve upon that. But I do believe there are drills that help with directing reaction parries and also gaining more experience will help.
-
Enzo's hernia situation could also be a factor.
-
My only concern is Marmar gives out huge rebounds and without a sure defensive line I can see us shipping more goals than this year
-
Enzo is more than capable of being in the double pivot with Moi. The issues the pair have had are pretty obvious to me and are ignored by media and even some of our own because of their transfer fees. Firstly, Enzo was our best player last season playing deep and he has done it internationally and in Portugal and Argentina's respective leagues and secondly, the rumours of him not being okay this term are overstated. Figure in that Lavia was bought primarily to help cover for our two overworked and over travelled South American mids and has never been around for them TO rest. Enzo had had no break from playing for two years when he arrived and surely had none since he got here and has been carrying that hernia for months too. Caicedo has had similar issues and importantly isn't used under pressure to break the press as he was at Brighton. Enzo was moved around different roles by Poch while Moi has been used to just destroy which is not him. In short neither have been truly fresh or fit, neither rested nor often played in their best roles. Moses has been hammered by the media this term very unfairly when you consider the madness around him yet has good player partnerships with Palmer and Gusto as.the most settled area with the ball in our team. Give both of them a more consistent role with players they know better next term and, provided they get rest things can only improve imho.
-
Caicedo in time will get better. Again I saw stats comparing him with Rice and they are similar despite the latter actually playing in his natural position. It's Enzo I am worried about as I don't see a fit for him unless we play a 433.
-
This is why I don’t think this squad has it in them to get it over the line when it matters. Lost their head vs Arsenal after being 2 up and dominating the game, lost a 2 nil lead vs a poor Manure side after completely outplaying them. On both occasions the assist to the first goal they got back came from a Chelsea player . In the league cup final we had 4 golden chances to put it to bed and fluffed the lines. This team is afraid of winning. Even if we somehow make it past city I am 100% sure we will cave vs Manure in the final.

A durable LB that can defend well. (Sell Cucurella) An experienced RCB that is fast, can read the game well and is an aerial specialist. (Sell Chalobah + Silva leaving) A fox in the box striker. (Jackson bench option or LW) An experienced CM/DM that wouldn't mind being given the 'Mikel' role. (Loan out Lesly) Honestly think these are the only 4 pressing matters at the moment. Bring those 4 in and solve our injury issues, we look way better.
-
Yesterday I wrote an article questioning whether Enzo Fernandez needs to sit out a game or two coming up. This at the time wasn’t even anything to do with any injuries, it was more about the fact that Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher played so well together in the double pivot on Monday night and […]View the full article

Yup Kobel is off the table, yellow black through and trough the only remotely class young goalie available for reasonable money is still Marma. Coming off another solid season at Valencia. The bats have a similar squad structure like ours with only 2 players in their early 30ies and most under 25. Still a respectable season with Marma being one of their more experienced ones and a leadership figure within the team. I was surprised Bayern did not deem him ready and bet on Nübel instead but surely Marma is ripe for a big transfer in summer

City will be up for this. There are two options: 1 - They beat Real and are on for the treble 2 - They lose to Real and are out for revenge It will be a huge achievement to knock them out and make the final. Winning the Fa cup will make this season a success in my eyes. COYB!

We had a strong captain for13 years, and this wouldnt have happened. Madueke can be forgiven as he thought the penalty was for his foul, but Jackson has a bit of a 'start a fight in an empty room' about him. End of the day its not important in the scheme of things, shows a competitive spirit.
-
As @lucio says if that is true, he should've subbed them off and he should've done the same with Sterling against Leicester. The reason why that happened if because we have a young team being guided my a manger who doesn't have authority. Fair enough for it to maybe happen once - Sterling - but this also happened in the Utd game with Noni trying to take the second one. This has been going on and he doesn't have the clout with the players to sort it out. If these were experienced pros, I would maybe give him more of a benefit of a doubt - as you would then say the players should know better - but these are kids.
